Thats its free has nothing to do with the quality of a Martial Arts.....
I choose to teach for free currently because i am in it for the art, not the money......
But i can tell you Bruce Lee did also in a time period teach for free to his close friends, since he was more about the art, then money and so has Grandmaster John Villasin and Master Jhun Dacayana (dont know if they still do)....

In fairness to all... Paying for martial arts does have some relevance cause if you pay, your instructor will teach what he knows cause for sure he paid for it also, likewise, in return you will get quality teaching. its free in fairness to manhattan1 he can teach of what he knows but as to the quality of being a teacher for example in a class, he still has to do some research about it. He has some techniques but as to what topics should he start his training, that's one thing he needs to improve. He lacks the progressive method of teaching a student from beginners level until mastery level.
To all of who are into martial arts, we all can teach for free or not but do not forget that when you open yourself to train others in the public or strangers just make sure that you are indeed capable of conducting training and you are equipped with such knowledge, skills and experience if in case questions will be asked regarding this type of moves and techniques its counter from other arts...
I think you are very fast at trying to judge me, you tried training with me 1 time and did not really see anything, since you never came back.....
The first time i meet a student i also try to look at what kind they are (most teacher who are a little smart do this) and you did not seem serious, why would i show you anything then?
Your comments about my teaching skills, i find stupid, i have been teaching in Denmark for many years and have a VPG from Denmark (thats a education within teaching), besides a Special Martial Arts Instrutors Course at Gerlev Sports School and Advanced First Aid Course, 30 hours......
(Thats a lot more then many of your teachers down here have, if you know what a VPG is).
Besides that the fact is price and quality, does not go together. We made many studies in Denmark that shows that and that also goes down here in the Philippines (since its a worldwide fact) and also within Martial Arts.....
Dont try to make it sound like you are this great Martial Artist either, when you came to me, you had only Group 1-5 and A, B, C within the Villasin Style......Not even the play yet.....And thats after a many years break......
Maybe you should just stop talking and get back to training.....
Like i do all the time and has been doing for nearly 15 years....

If i have been talking about how good i am and i have this black belt and so on and so forth, it would sound like that i am claiming to be a great martial artist but hell NO i did not tell those words to the public about being who i am and being an expert of this kind of martial art and how many years i have been training and capable of teaching and spreading my martial arts.
The fact that i was there training with you was only to refresh my memory of the Villasin Balintawak because my previous master told me that you can only teach balintawak if you finish the "completion of the art" training and passed check-ups from another master. That's why i was eager to train balintawak with you because you claimed you are going to instructors level, however, it was the other way around...![]()
Maybe i will try again to train directly from your master John Villasin and established the "MISSING LINK" of how you trained me.
Lastly, my entire life is not at all about being a martial artist. There are more in things that life can offer for which you will be happy.... Getting back to training? maybe in time my friend or perhaps during national holidays.... LOL
Why commented those its because i am a trainor or shall we say a teacher or mentor, at the same time a mediator, i always conduct orientations, trainings and seminars of leadership, productivity and values, time and motion study, etc. to name a few but not to brag except Martial Arts....
Certificates, i have more of those don't where to put it....but its not about martial arts... its about quality and productivity of work....
Creating modules, mechanics of trainings and seminars? i can do that one with my eyes closed... HAHAHAHAHA....
There are things about me that you don't know and that same applies also to you that i do not know from you also.... So lets just stay COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
I can only tell you where Grandmaster John Villasin thinks i am at and should i listen to him or you?
You are welcome to contact him and ask him your self, also to hear if he want to train you, but from what i hear he mostly focus on his current students these days (his number is on my website):
Villasin Balintawak | www.fma-arnis.dk
Please note that if you are only talking about the Villasin style, then thats not the only thing i teach and as you said i am going to instructor level within Villasin style.....
I am of course more skilled at other styles, i have been within for longer time then the Villasin Style....
But i also know more about the Villasin style then you give me credit for, GM. John told me just yesterday, that i only need the last moves from group 5 and speed in the teaching parts of the Villasin Style before i am at instructor level.....
He sets high demands, according to what he told me, no one has ever gotten a Instructor degree under GM. John Villasin. But some has been close and learned the style, just not completed all the requirements....
By the way, the reason i talk about that i teach and my background is the same reason dbshawarma always goes: "up for Lapunti", i need to advertise like everyone else, about what i do......
What i teach is a mix of Bujinkan (Ninjutsu) and FMA (The Dacayana Eskrima System and i still try to learn and mix in the Villasin Style)......
