I go for Intel

stability and compatibility.

tapos may resale value pa sa mga customers who want to buy 2nd hand computers. (awareness sa name "INTEL") as compared to AMD

me I keep on upgrading, luckily naman may bumibili sa mga luma kong pc parts esp. Intel processor and the mobo.

as for AMD, AMD is excellent in games, no doubt kasi supported halos lahat ng CPU x86 instructions(3Dnow!, SSE, SSE2, MMX, MMX+ on Athlons).

there is no such thing as "stability and compatibility"... any platform can be stable and compatible with the right combination of hardware components... AMD is excellent in games not because of those x86 instructions but because of its stronger Floating Point Unit... and the reason why AMD is faster than an Intel processor on a Mhz to Mhz level is because it has a shallower pipeline, bigger and better primary cache, and a better memory system among other things...

Hey even AMD has released a new processor called the Opteron; can be 32-bit or 64-bit CPU... in 5 years time 64-bit computing will replace x86 computers... isn't that worth fighting for, isn't that worth dying for?

mao ganing pildi ang intel kay mostly you guys are using amd.

most of use here use AMD coz we know AMD is the best processor that caters our needs.. but dont think im baised coz i do have 2 intel systems. sauna nga PIII ug current nga P4 2.4C

I'd go for Intel... My software 3D Studio Max / Viz , MAYA is optimized wid Intel processors... 3D Softwares are not really giving that support to 3D NOW technology of AMD

AMD gyud da best... ay depende ra gyud ni sa tao.. kung nag lagot mo ug kwarta.. hala palit ug intel.. kung ga tipid ug kablo pud sa mga processor AMD gyud ang paliton

AMD is great in the sense that it offers flexibility in it's prices.
And not only that....

QUESTION: Would you think this company (AMD) will allow Intel to surpass them??

ANSWER: Oh no... not as easy as the name INTEL. Most intel users belongs to the more traditional way of looking at your PC. Intel... Intel... nindota sa intel oi.... hahay... oldies...

If AMD is that good and cheap, then why is Intel still the market leader? Yes, I know marketing has a lot to do with it.... wait a minute, I answered my own question.... heheheehe
