Ive been through the stage in ones life that questions arise due to certain events that happens or the mere fact that you were pondering on those little thoughts in your head to much...
My take on why did Christ die, he died because he loved us so much and he is willing to give all that HE had to do it. And because that HE was selfless and humble the only thing HE could give was HIS BODY and BLOOD, to show us that we are that important and loved.
I did not think this way before. If you really are in question of what you believe in (or if ever you believe in a Higher power) go and have a quest. I was not satisfied in being a Roman Catholic just because my parents were so religious and i resented the fact that a Sunday chore would be to get up and get dressed for Holy Mass. I became an atheist... soon after i realiezed there must be a diety out there, so i turned agnostic... then i turned to wicca... then i realized there must be a GOD, so i attended bible studies for different religions and there was one thing in common.
GOD IS LOVE. GOD IS ALL GOOD and HE would never want his children to feel bad and go astray, but HE loved us so much HE gave us freewill and a mind to let us think for ourselves. So i hope, that each and everyone of us would be guided by HIS spirit.
by the way, now im a certified Roman Catholic. and to me, understanding GOD and HIS plans is too big for my brain. I just pray, thank and accept whatever he has for me.

I guess all of you are OUT OF TOPIC.
the topic is not "why jesus died" which will give you answers like: "to save the world from sin blah blah blah"
but "why did jesus HAVE TO die?.."
the question already assumed that jesus died for the sin of mankind. the point is why DOES HE HAVE TO DIE.. is his death the only way to save mankind.. are there on other way for salvation.. and stuff like that..
if you want answers PM me i know the answer.. my brother told me I asked him the same question long before this topic was created.
