actually after i became a christian, i still attended the catholic church back in 2002 for 2 yrs but i already started reading my bible and countless literature both from protestant and catholic scholars (especially during first year college).

and i came to that interpretation long before i heard our pastor says so because after i left the catholic church, i was a wandering believer... now i have a church though.

and yeah it's great to have a spiritual mentor and it would be even better if that mentor is open minded and is open to discussion. my spiritual mentor is not my pastor actually but sort of a youth pastor in the ministry im in and we sometimes talk long hours over some issues that we disagree at first but then we started bringing some stuff home to dig and came back discussing again hehehehe. we're like C.S Lewis and Tolkien.

did Christ establish His church? Was it on petros, a movable stone, or petra, an immovable rock?

"I say also unto thee [to Peter], That thou art Peter [petros], and upon this Rock [petra] I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:1. The text indi*cates clearly that the church of Christ is built on petra and not on Petros.

Karon kinsa mana si petra ...

"They drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock [petra, in the Greek] was Christ" (1 Corinthians 10:4).

So petra is the Jesus Christ.

Sa ato pa dili si Peter ang Foundation kundi si Jesus Christ ..
Bitaw bro. ang original text ana nga gigamit is not Greek but ARAMAIC.

Somebody has to define what a "christian" church is.

our pastor who died in an accident couple of years ago did explain the origins and the inclusions of those apocryphal books before. he's an authority on those things though not because he is a pastor but because he majored on it in college. One of the reasons why i realize bible school isn't my calling hehehehe....... can't stand to study that much. the reading requirement is even more than that of my course

A Christian Church is a Church were the doctrine was base on Jesus Christ Teaching.

Christian comes from the word Christ .... diba ...

Vilmanian comes from the word Vilma ... hehehehe

Now if u have a doctrine that is outside the teaching of Jesus Christ, what you call it ?
