And this post reflects the sad and disgusting reality about the condescending attitude of tagalogs.
"sana ung mga bisaya wag masyado wag masayado mga arogante.. akala mo kung sino… the fact is mababa talaga ang tingin sa inyo sa lipunan.. kaya nga ang aming sterotypes na bisaya.. hindi ko alam kung bakit galit na galit kayo sa akin eh wala naman akong sinasabing imbento.. halos patayin nyo na sa sobrang galit nyo.. kahit pagmumurahin nyo ako the fact stil remains na katulong is synonymous to ” inday”. pag baduy ka at pangit ka mukhang kang bisaya. di ba ung iba nga nagagalit pagsinasabing mukha silang bisaya kasi nga negative ang ibig sabihin nun..malibog is right to say na merong ibang bisaya na ayaw pa classify na bisaya sila.. bakit kaya? its also a well known fact na nag-aaral kayo ng tagalog while ang mga tagalog hindi kailangan mag aral ng bisaya. di ba? hindi ito bashing .. facts ito. kung babasahin nyo lahat ng comment ng mga bisaya dito puro non sense.. walang alam kung di ang mang away. tapos mag mamalaki kayo na dapat di mababa ang tingin sa inyo.. para kayong mga negro. galit na galit sila pag mababa ang tingin sa kanila pero napaka violente nila at akala mo laging inaapi tulad ng mga bisaya na nag co-comment dito. bakit ba di nyo matanggap na compared to tagalogs ur merely 2nd class citizens..

Sa mga bisdak nakung igsu-on.. do you really think we should let Jose Javier Reyes get away with making fun of us on national television and raking in the profits as wellDo you think tagalogs in Manila weren't laughing their ass off from watching that scene in the movie?? They see this as a confirmation of FACTS because this movie purportedly is a reflection of reality.. " nangyayari naman talaga sa totoong buhay".. we shouldn't take this kind of crap sitting down.
why do this movie even passed the scrutiny of MTRCB?! so, they really think that there's nothing wrong with it?! what's the purpose of them after all!
my point here is, i react because i don't want to simply ignore that even within us, even within our Filipino people, we feel so disunited. Filipino people should not be purely categorized as the Tagalogs only, what that make of us.... I guess that Tagalogs, Visayans and the rest should refute to such movie because it is clearly an ethnic slur... not contest of who should and should not be the inferior or superior race.
makalagot lage siya noh?...heheh...Originally Posted by AJ Bazooka

Clarification.. These were the words of a tagalog poster in another forum. But I bet you these were probably the exact same thoughts that went through Jose Javier Reyes' mind when he was writing the script. Can you imagine him writing the script thinking.."hmmm... how do i make fun of visayans in this movie? let me think.." We visayans need to find a backbone and not let them get away with this kind of thinking. Its ok if that is their private opinion but to portray it in a movie which is equivalent to national television.. that is just wrong. I'm disappointed at the acting mayor Rama's reaction. I'm sorry to all his fans but this guy has no leadership and backbone at all.
You will rarely find a more arrogant person on this planet than a tagalog bigot.

I rarely watch Tagalog movies so I did not know about the slur that “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo” committed against Visayans until I read that it had angered Sen. Nene Pimentel enough to demand that the movie’s producers rectify the wrong by deleting the scenes that portray Visayans as second class citizens.
I wouldn’t have wasted precious space on a scene or scenes in a movie that I would rather drown than watch anyway. But I expected the film director to show a little sensitivity in addressing an issue that could ignite regional passions and make it even more difficult for us to find a common identity.
However, he did not just ignore the demand, he insulted Pimentel and, by extension all, Visayans by saying that the country had more important problems to worry about. What arrogance.
In less enlightened societies, the affront would have resulted in the offender being meted out a death sentence or in movie houses that dare show the picture being burned. I would have suggested a boycott of the movie as just punishment for the movie’s makers but then that would have placed them and us on the same level of buffoonery.
So, let’s just pray instead: for us, that we continue to be blessed with an understanding and forgiving heart; and for them that they grow out of their inferiority complex and that they be cleansed of all envy of and resentment towards us.
If the prayers don’t work out, then perhaps we can try hanging someone by the leg from the Capitol flagpole until he learns to pronounce the word, “tingle.”

The fact that the scene denigrates house helpers or yayas only makes it worse. Even the Singaporean Supreme Court in a landmark case stated something to the effect " These domestic helpers are in this country to offer their services not to sell their dignity or person. " kanang mga yaya or helper nianha dinha para magserbisyo sa ila bisan gamay og sweldo dili para ibaligya ilahang pagkatawo.
This movie is so offensive because it is this kind of thinking in the mind of Jose Javier Reyes that pervades most of tagalog society.
