@RODION: I am not familiar with the luftwaffe paratroopers, but i have read some references. I am off today to borrow some more books.

Anyway, the SS is a runic symbol - the sig rune. A ancient symbol used to represent victory over the enemy.

What advanced technology? The rocket in the Rocketeer comic books and movies are common-knowledge rockets--simple, liquid fuelled, throttle-equipped rockets--there is nothing that can be kept "secret" or "advanced" about rocket technology, except for two things:

a) fuel - better burning means lesser fuel (i.e. more payload), and more thrust (fast speed)

b) injection mechanism (for liquid motors) - better management of fuel flow and thrust

Anybody can build rockets. Find and watch a DVD of the movie October Sky and learn

Am not sure. All I know is they conquered Manchuria, raped the City of Nanking, and were in Shanghai, (most of my knowledge here was only rekindled because of the "Empire of the Sun" movie). But beyond that my memory is fuzzy about the Japanese military campaign in China, sorry.

And to the latter questions, both. They wanted to rid India of the British, and also conquer Austrialia, NZ and the other islands in the Oceania region.

I don't know enough of the war, except for personal stories from lolos and lolas, to make an otherwise serious contribution.

The Americans did that to us in Samar during the short Filipino-American war...and this is well documented and not hearsay. They massacred "any person capable of bearing arms", which meant everyone well above 9 years old had to be killed.

yes, the bells of Balangiga, the ones used by the Filipino priests to signal the rebels to attack the American garrison, are still kept in the United States as war booty. as a decent nation, we should demand it back.
