late to the thread but happy i found it. been practicing python for a while now. still learning the ropes. ATM, i'm trying to wrap my head around python + GTK.

my two cents: we ought to work at a project using python.

hows GTK? have you tried wxpython?

@MarkCuering: going nuts with gtk, bro. hehe, pero i prefer it over wxpython because of the wider potential audience. pero galibog pa jud ko karon kay ang nokia just released their qt libraries pud. i'm sure they'll be pushing it for their mobile devices. so many choices....

@johnsital: bitaw bro, common jud ang calculator program. but the goal there is to learn how to create a workable gui using python. not very trivial, at least for me right now.
