i am trying to learn python now.. .could someone help me installing python in my cellphone??

Kung ganahan ka mag learn ug Python bro, dili ka pwede anha mag install den kat-un program ug Python sa imo mobile phone, as far as i know, dili pa ka support ang mga S60 phones ani...Anha ra ka makadevelop or makaprogram sa mga desktop or laptop computers. Hinuon pwede ka maka develop ug application nga imo padaganon specific para sa imo S60 mobile phone. Posible kaau ni...naa ra ka i-download nga platform or sort of SDK sa Python nga imo i-install sa imo mobile phone.

Suggestion lang ha if nahan dyud mo kat-on maau og phyton mas nindot inyong gamitong platform kay linux or if naa mo mac mas maau. Need sad ka makat-on og terminal commands nindot kaau i combo sa phyton. So far dli ko mo recommend og windows in developing phyton apps... akoa suggestion lang ha but if asa mo comfortable naa ra na ninyo.

This is false. We can't directly compare Python with PHP because Python afaik is a General Programming/Scripting Language and PHP is only for the web. However, if we are going to compare the two in terms of web development, both have their own Pros and Cons - and it solely depends on the type of web application you'd like to develop.

you got to use that PythonWin IDE...there's a lot of things you can do with it.... where most people haven't doing properly.... try Scintilla and SciTE too, try to see if you're comfortable to use it.

for quick writting codes, I use PythonWin and sometimes I use Python Shell in command prompt for deriving some classes, investigating OOP etc...

for building 2 to 3 modules I use ActiveState Komodo IDE 4, where I can setup drag and drop, code snippets, my personal predefined codes, adding set of modules, embedding C codes....

for serious development, we use Wingware Python IDE, as our build modules, footnotes, are there, excellent debugging and excellent tool for GUI.

again... just use PythonWin, it fast and reliable... there's a lot of things you can do with that...

Im interested (but as a freelance Pythoner). May I know what type or kind of system is it you are actually developing? Im also using Python for my current project here in our company - more of into text analytics.

Batam indonesia (few minutes away fro sg) at Singapore... marami ba pythonista sa cebu? I asked my sister who's studying now in USC offer na daw ang python sa graduating student. pero sa UV (my bro) Java at C++ daw...

they are both taking IT studies... same as me pero Comp-Eng ako. nag first year ako sa UC pero after that lumipat ako sa batangas. kelangan kc magwork to support...you know what I mean ^_^ buhay mahirap hehehe...

gusto ko magkaroon ng ka group or forum or discussion regarding sa mga nagaaral ng python. gusto ko rin fellow cebuano ^_^ bisayang daku sad ko...my heart still belongs to my homeland cebu :P gusto ko fellow bisdak... kc base in my experience sa pagiging freelancer somewhere in luzon area, manila, makati, alabang... takot sila sa mga freelancer na disdak ^_^ I don't why...magaling daw mga bisaya...hehehe and I'm proud they recognize Visayas region in programming hehehe....

I was thinking kung meron gumagamit o nagpapractice ngaun ng python. student man o professional. coz maybe I can help or they can help me either... I will try to post some of my python experience here in abroad. and how it adds to my career. in fact it really helps.... and how those company call me every month to join them. ako nlng umaayaw kc medyo contented pa ako sa offer d2. by the way, solo python user lng ako sa company na ito. kc nobody knows tlga around asia kung meron man hindi naman mahagilap.

To be honest I'm still new in python... just a month palang studying OOP. the more I study python the more I understand C++. that's why gusto ko talga e recommend sa mga gusto mag aral ng python and C++ at the same time. I hope meron discussion... I'm willing to help para at least mapadali ang pagaaral ko.... thanks sa thread starter for posting python. nabuhayan ako akala ko wala bisdak na nagpapython.

I apil nlng pud ang Google...they are hiring Pythoners for some or most of their apps!

Iapil pa ang UBUNTU Linux, NASA ug .NET virtual machines that makes PYTHON very interesting language.Also it's a cross platform language that runs everywhere.

late to the thread but happy i found it. been practicing python for a while now. still learning the ropes. ATM, i'm trying to wrap my head around python + GTK.

my two cents: we ought to work at a project using python.
