CLEVELAND vs NEW JERSEY

cleveland won the head to head against the nets 2-1.

this will be an all lebron show for the cavaliers. lebron james has turned into a do-it-all star. aside from his superb scoring ability, king james could grab rebounds, pass and play explosive defense. the first round was no really a test on how tough the cavaliers are in this playoffs. it was a one-sided series since they faced an injury-plagued team. cleveland have decent big men in drew gooden, anderson varejao, zydrunas ilgauskas and donyell marshall, a serious advantage over the nets who fall short on big men. cavaliers might be thankful that the nets really doesnt have a good big man since zydrunas ilgauskas plays terrible defense (vince carter might posterized him this series). one flaw in the cavaliers line-up is the point guard position. eric snow has a very mediocre offense, daniel gibson usually makes very bad decisions and damon jones is not really a true point guard. jason kidd will be a huge problem for the cavaliers. kidd had a superb performance against the raptors and for sure will bring his triple-double games to cleveland plus despite losing some of his usual flare, vince carter is as explosive as before, another serious threat for the cavaliers especially when he's got jason kidd running the break. richard jefferson could also come up big in the series, after all he's one of the few (3) guys the nets heavily rely on.

disadvantage: point guard position (this one clearly goes to jason kidd), zydrunas ilgauskas (not much intimidation, vince carter and richard jefferson for sure will take advantage of this)

advantage: more bench depth (varejao, marshall and d. jones coming of the bench), better big men (gooden, ilgauskas, varejao and marshall)

x factor: larry hughes--hughes hasn't showed much of what's expected of him so far. he'll come up big when the cavaliers need him

my prediction: cleveland by 6
