Linux is definitely not for gaming because most games are developed using the directX API and Microsoft owns it, but there are good games also for Linux like Quake 4 , Doom and Unreal. mostly there from ID software using the OpenGL API, which John Carmack the Head programmer is supporting open source software.

although there are work around to allow windows games to run on a linux pc, its not 100% compatible yet and theres a challenge on setting it up. you can google up wine or wineX for more info.

OT: Unsaon nako pagghost or clone sa akong recent WinXP installation and other programs na maarchive nako or mabackup/save para maformat nako akong hard drive then akong i-install ang Ubunto then maginstall ko og virtual machine then katong akong gighost or gibackup na drive c: WinXP and other programs modagan sa Virtual Machine?

Is this possible ba? or naglibog nalang ko sa akong plano hehe
