    A hint, please.

    Is it an apostolic letter?

    An encyclical?

    A motu propio (i.e., of his own accord)?

    A bull?

    There are a lot of stuffs written by the late pope and it's hard to pin down one from the other because sometimes the subject matter overlaps. Thanks, in advance.

    Can you cite the time when this 'changing of rules' actually took place? By the way, please cite also when and where the rule was made that says priests and popes should be married. From my side, you are fantasizing that such rule exist. There never was, but - since you insist on its existence - you could try proving your assertion. Please remember that you are insisting that a rule was made on this.

    At the very least, your argument regarding married priests and popes has some kind of support in history. Women becoming priests? Where is that?

    -------------

    Celibacy is a discipline; it is not a doctrine. This discipline has been practiced in Christian churches even at the time of the apostles. Such can be discerned from the writings of St. Paul and others early Christian writers. We must ask : what is the view of the early Christians regarding unmarried/celibate priests? Only when we look at the whole witness of the early Church will we be able to discern the righteousness of such discipline.

    @amaw
    bro, if you truly know YOUR history, then im sure you could have come up with the right answer..and that is very very simple. simply because Christ didnt write any. in fact, non of the new testament was written while Christ was alive. it happened way after Christ died for us..about a couple hundreds of years(im not sure sa exact number of years). WHY? simply because writing materials during that time was a luxury..it was way too expensive to write things down and mass produce it. everything was handed down through the oral tradition..and this is the basis of why we also adhere to the Apostolic traditions..and most probably is the basis of the Church why there are no women priests.

    ask lang sad to ko bro (if you are still following this post), you claim to be a catholic and yet daghan jud au ka complains, why do you still remain to be one? just wondering lang...

    Males have always dominated the human species. Men compiled the Bible. It should not be surprising why the Bible is what it is today.

    now, if only we were elephants.

    Not everyone. I don't support the bible because i don't believe in Jesus. Im not an atheist 'coz i believe in the existence of GOD. It's just that i don't believe that Jesus is THE GOD. :angel:
