Matt Barnes Can't Get an Offer from Warriors
Free-agent swingman Matt Barnes hasn't been getting the offers he was expecting as the offseason has rolled on. Expecting to get a full Mid-Level Exception offer, he fired his old agent and got a new one to handle what he assumed would be a hectic few weeks. With the moratorium lifted, Barnes is still waiting for a suitable offer. The Warriors, who Barnes had a breakout year with, haven't given him what he was expecting, so now he is willing to wait and see what will happen over the summer. The Mavericks and HEAT reportedly had interest in him, but conversations apparently haven't been fruitful just yet.
Derek Fisher signed $14M 3yrs with Lakers
Derek Fisher was officially put on waivers by the Utah Jazz, opening the door for him to sign with the Lakers. He has already agreed to a three-year, $14-million deal with the Lakers, but he cannot officially sign the deal until after he has cleared waivers, which will take seven days. It is still possible that a team could pick him up before he clears waivers, but if they did so, they'd have to pay him the $20.6-million in salary that his original contract with the Jazz stipulated.
Nuggets Meet with Atkins
Chucky Atkins met with the Nuggets on Thursday in Las Vegas. Should Steve Blake choose to leave Denver, the Nuggets see Atkins as a backup plan to serve their need for a point guard as well as their hopes to land a good outside shooter. Atkins' agent, Andy Miller, told Basketball News' Travis Heath that Atkins has "definite interest" in the Nuggets.
More Deals in Ink
Luke Walton and Devean George both signed their deals to remain with the teams they played for last season, respectively. Walton signed a six-year, $30-million deal with the Lakers. George signed a one-year deal with the Mavericks for $2.4-million. Jacque Vaugn and Matt Bonner have also agreed to sign multi-year deals to stay with the champion San Antonio Spurs.
After Pistons' Billups & Johnson next the Draft
After re-signing Chauncey Billups yesterday, the Pistons have agreed to re-sign free-agent forward Amir Johnson for $12-million over three years. Both re-signing Billups and Johnson were Joe Dumas' primary goals of the offseason. The Pistons will now look for some front-court help after adding Rodney Stuckey and Arron Aflalo in the draft.
Any possibility that Rasheed gets shipped to Phoenix?
There was, but it was all rumors. Kung madayon man gani, di man mo-fit si Rasheed sa up-tempo style sa Suns. And... he's getting old also. While Marion can still get quality minutes with his athleticism. So, I doubt Rasheed is going to the desert.Originally Posted by Kazekage

New Jersey Nets
The New Jersey Nets have requested waivers on forward Cliff Robinson. Robinson averaged 4.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 50 contests this past year, which was 18th NBA campaign, making him the most tenured active player who played the entire 2006-07 season.
New Orleans Hornets
MOrris Peterson agreed to sign with the New Orleans Hornets for a 4-year $23million contract. Peterson visited Salt Lake City earlier this week to meet with Utah Jazz officials. He also said Detroit, New Jersey, Cleveland, New Orleans, Miami and Toronto had expressed an interest in him.
Nice move for the Hornets. Barato ra kau, pero I think daghan jd na ug incentives kay sa kadaghan interested teams niya, Hornets jud siya.
Utah Jazz
Meanwhile, the Jazz, who lost Peterson to the Hornets, have signed other free agent guard Jason Hart. He's more likely to become Deron Williams' backup.
Sacramento Kings
Kings used their MLE to sign Mikki Moore, and that would be an indication in which the talks of a Bibby to Cavs and Gooden to Kings is non-evident. Sayang ang MLE (mid-level exception), mas okay unta si Gooden jud. Advantage jd para kang Mikkie Moore, who is going to get $18million for 3 years.
Porland Trail Blazers
Steve Blake is returning to Portland. Blake signed a 3-year deal with Portland after the Denver Nuggets reportedly reached negotiations with the Chucky Atkins.
unsa naman status ni garnett?
Right now? It's still too quiet. Nawala ang mga rumors, proposals ug uban since gi-hugon2x na ari si KG, adto si KG. Pero sa pagkakaron, wala man.Originally Posted by edge827

Chicago Bulls
Bulls sign Joe Smith for a 2-year deal but terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, naa man daw mid-level exception ang Bulls na $5.36milion so I guess okay ra.
Luoy lang ang Sixers kay wala jd sila ka-sign ug free agent pa. They wanted Joe Smith so bad but they only have an offer of 3-year 10million. Sixers wasn't able to get into discussions with big men Milicic (signed with Grizzlies) and Moore (signed with Kings).
Washington Wizards
Deshaun Stevenson has resigned with the Wizards for a four-year $15million worth of contract.
Denver Nuggets
Chucky Atkins signed a two-year guarantee deal with the Nuggets with a $3.2million starting salary and $3.4million the next.
New Jersey Nets
Finally, the Nets now has a big guy that can do some dirty work on the inside. Nets signed Jamaal Magloire for a one-year contract but terms of the deal were not announced.
Milwaukee Bucks
Bad news for Miami Heat, Maurice Williams has agreed to resign with the Milwaukee for a 6-year 52million deal! WOW... I think this is an overpaid amount. Good luck Bucks. Also, Williams will have an opt-out clause after his 4th and 5th year of the deal.

RUMORS
Barca hopes to keep guard Navarro for another season
Winterthur FC Barcelona still hopes that explosive scoring Spanish guard Juan Carlos Navarro won't still jump in the NBA, though Barca announced that it allowed Navarro to leave for North America last July 4.
Navarro was picked 40th by the Washington Wizards during the 2002 draft, but his $13.8M buyout makes it difficult to move him to other teams. But if Navarro ends up in the NBA, there are speculations that he might be shipped to Memphis to play alongside fellow National team member and close friend Pau Gasol.
Heat.. nothing so far, might go too bad
So far, Miami hasn't done any major deals yet, and have lost major contributors. Gary Payton and Jason Kapono are gone, and soon, might lose James Posey as well. Alonzo Mourning still remains undecided, and lately, the Heat got no more options for the PG spot in the free agency pool.
For now, reports say that Miami is eyeing Portland guard Steve Francis to back-up Jason Williams, who lost a considerable number of games during the past 2 seasons due to injuries. But still, rumors are rumors.
All rumors about KG have all died down. KG has expressed his interest in still playing for Minnesota, while Kevin McHale announced that the Timberwolves will keep KG. It seems Garnett will be honing the Timberwolves jersey in his first game in the 2007-08 season.unsa naman status ni garnett?
If Anthony and Iverson won't take the game to themselves, Atkins will be deadly for the Nuggets, especially at the recieving end of Melo and AI's passes. He need not play PG, he's a spot up shooter for the Nuggets with Anthony and Iverson running the showsi Steve Blake gipulihan lang Atkins? nayabag nang Denver! saon na lang neh!
