Default NBA OFFSEASON RUMORS AND TRANSACTIONS

Daghan naman NBA na topic diri noh? Sige lang oi, mag-samok2x lang ghapon ko... hehehe.

With the ongoing NBA playoffs, there's so many rumors, speculations and transactions from those teams who's in the effort of making their club more promising and considering a development.

Here's the 2 of those chikkas out there:

LARRY BROWN: IS HE DONE IN NEW YORK?

After a terrible season with the New York Knicks, another trouble came into the organization as head coach Larry Brown is experiencing health problems and may have to sit the rest of his 5-year contract with the Knicks. Daghan nag-ingon na buyout na lang daw, pero the Knicks management denied this as they think the media has made all things complicated.

Brown can make things normal for New York if he says he's recuperating from his bladder operation, but if he wants to collect his purse of $40million, the Knicks will have to fire him.

ALLEN IVERSON: DONE WITH SIXERS, NEST ANEW IN ATLANTA?

Actually, I dreamt about this possible trade or transaction involving Allen Iverson and the Atlanta Hawks. A trade scenario daw that will involve Al Harrington+Childress or draft pick for Allen Iverson is in the making, but i don't think it won't be the case since there will be other teams who'll be in the hunt for AI's services. But AI being with the Hawks is the strongest rumor ever...

I don't know if AI and JJ will coexist since Iveson has a problem playing with players who score or attempts baskets closer than his. Jerry Stackhouse, Keith Van Horn and Chris Webber are examples.

Other than that, this rumor may end up another page and mawala lang in a sudden since AI's been dealt with to another team OR the Sixers won't let him go that easy.

    SO COMMENTS PEOPLE!!!

about larry brown, i dont think the problem is with him, i think its with isiah thomas. signing and taking players with fat contracts who even doesnt fit to the knicks game. larry brown has the fundamentals, he makes teams winners. remember the 76ers and the pistons?

AI. he might be a little older but he is still unstoppable. no need to trade him maybe, just add role players to the sixers squad. let him score 50 or 60 points a game and take most of the shots, and let the oher players do the hustle, rebound, and other things needed to win games. the only problem to this is when AI will get injured. maybe Peja Stojakovic to the sixers?

I do think it's zeke doing the damage in the entire new york squad, and he's contributing to LB's health problems...hehehe. But i do hope that he sticks with the Knicks and do some improvements, Zeke has to go. I don't know what's wrong with this guy...

The Sixers have been doing the fillers already, and he's been scoring 50-60 points a game. There are players who do the hustle, rebound and other thigns that you're talking about (Dalembert, S. Hunter, S. Randolph), if he needs another firepower with scoring, they have Webber, Korver and Iggy. So, what else does he need?

No need for Peja and he's staying with the Pacers, because, no offense, they're better than the Sixers. But if AI and company does the whole team game, they'll become one of the NBA's team powerhouses.

Anyway, here's an issue with LEBRON AND THE CAVALIERS:

Rob Parker of the Detroit News reports that if LeBron James does not re-sign an extension with the Cavaliers this summer, he will leave the club and sign with the Nets after the 2008 season.

James' $100 million deal with Nike doubles if he plays in Chicago, L.A. or New York.

Cleveland papers reported earlier in the week that the chances of James signing an extension this summer have increased because of the Cavaliers' strong playoff performance

THe Knicks and Brown are still quietly settling their thoughts down... and i think Brown's gonna give it another right before the season starts. Twolves GM Jim Stack is under the Knicks' radar to replace the GM post should Brown leaves and Isaiah Thomas goes to the bench.

Meanwhile, Indiana is reportedly entertaining offers for Jermaine O'Neal and it is said the the Raptors are interested about trading their top pick for the 6'11 power forward. The Pacers claim that their negotiation about shopping O'Neal is false but every single day it resurfaces and i really do think that CEO Donnie Walsh is intending to rebuild the franchise.

THE KNICKS HAVE A LOT OF DOUGHT TO WASTE.

GET LEBRON. HOW MUCH DOES HE WANt PAY HIM AND CUT DOWN ON THE OTHERS.

EVEN THOUGH THE KNICKS ARE A LOSING TEAM THEY ARE NO 1 in NET SALES IN ALL OF BASKETBALL TEAMS IN THE NBA IN THE 2004-2005 SEASON. THEY ARE OWN BY CABLEVISION A CABLE PROVIDER. SO THEY ARE PROPERLY MANAGE SA TV EXPOSURE.

BUT SI MARK CUBAN SAD DAGHAN SAD WAWART.

    from forbes magazine

Let's start with the good. The Knicks generate a lot of revenue, 16% more than the Lakers who are second best. Luxury boxes cost $450,000 for a season and a courtside seat costs close to $2,000 per game. The bad? The Knicks are horrible on the court. They've had four straight losing seasons despite spending more money than any other team (maybe it's something in the water at MSG as hockey's Rangers haven't made the playoffs since 1997). This season $10 million a year coach Larry Brown arrived to straighten out the team and tension is brewing between the demanding coach and his overpaid players. The ugly? With a $125 million payroll and a $60+ million luxury tax bill on the way, the Knicks will lose more than $50 million during the 2005-06 season.

In short, they have players with bad contracts with Isaiah Thomas bringing in more to make things complicated for Larry Brown.

The Cavaliers will give Lebron the cash that he deserve... if the Knicks want him, they should unload the expiry and overpaid contracts on some of its players. The Bulls also has the cash to flaunt and challenge the those teams who want Lebron.

Lebron one time said he wouldn't even mind playing for Jay-Z's New Jersey Nets... so, it's gonna be a shopping spree out there for Lebron.

And it's gonna be horrible for the Wolves if they indeed trade KG for those fat contracts... pero kung ang i-trade sa Knicks kay si Marbury+Frye+Francis+top pick, mabulahan jud ang Minnesota.

    Luoy na sad si KG...

By the way, if you guys still remember Jay Williams from the Chicaco Bulls not long time ago, he's been scheduling workouts and is indeed convinced that he can play 100% already. Williams, the former second overall pick of the Chicago Bulls who crashed his motorcycle after his rookie year is going to visit Philadelphia, Memphis, Toronto, Boston, New Jersey and Phoenix.

I assume, he's gonna wait for 1-2 years for a breakout year.
