For simple voltage readigs multi-meter ra but for other things like ripple/noise and ect specialized equipments nana.
purpose nko boss if naa ba cya defect sa sulod, if naa defect for sure mo give cya bad current sa system.
ma monitor bana ana??
if example, nay bloated na capacitor sa sulod... naa bay device something nga ma pa alarm nato...
or ma trigger rata ky nay instance mga cge cya restart...
any idea!! or dgahn lng gyud factor...
Simply testing the voltage on each output connector doesn't make it ok since the psu is not being utilized at all. As Earlz said kailangan ka ug specialized equipment to monitor your PSU's efficiency while being utilized at the same time. And you have to manually open the psu and look for bloated caps w/c I wouldn't recommend unless your psu is already out of its warranty.
you'll need an oscilloscope and a bunch of load resistors.
The guys over at JG use the following equipment to test PSU's
SunMoon SM-268
Rek RF9901 power meter
Tektronix TDS-2012B
pm si FineUpgrades...naa silay psu tester...every connector including pcie mahibaloan kung naa bai problema....didto ko pa test sa akong psu...
