Default Delivery Plan: Midwife (Maternity Clinic) or OB/Gyne (Hospitals)

Just some ideas from you mothers if which is which and why?

I will soon deliver my 2nd baby and confused if mag midwife from a maternity house or sa hospital jud. I didn't avail any package deals and I have my ob/gyne with me that monitors me every now and then. It just that I was able to inquire a maternity house in our barangay and cost only 2,500-3,000 for the whole normal delivery! If naa ka philhealth, possible wala jd ka mabayaran... I'm planning to visit such clinic & the people there. Somtyms I'm tempted with the idea nga whoever will assist you during your delivery (midwife,ob or even mananabang), still imo ra man jd na tanan effort like pag pushing... ikaw ra jd makatabang yourself.

Practically, it's cheap compared to my first baby nga we spent 30K sa PSH then normal delivery and buyag lang very successful & fast akong pagpanganak. I was admitted at 11am & delivered my child at 1:10pm.

What are your opinions regarding this? Please share... thanks!

kung smooth pa lang to akong pregnancy, ug kung ako ra untay pabut-on, sa midwife ra unta cguro ko nanganak.. pero unsaon ta man, complicated man kaayo tong pregnancy nako, nya first anak, first apo, first grandapo, first everything man akong anak, agree jud ang tanan nga sa hospital lang..

mas holistic man mu-care ang midwives, unya murag mas ok sila sa husband participation during labor.. whereas sa hospital dli pasudlon ang husband inig labor.. one more thing, minimalistic silag approach.. like suwayan nilag stretch usa before mugisi.. sa hospital gision man dayon.. sa midwife tabangan jud kag natural techniques para makaya ang labor pains, whereas sa hospital pangutan-on ra ka dayon if ganahan ka magpa-epidural..

yes, unpredictable jud manganak, that's why normal cases ra gyud ang ideally i-accept sa maternity or lying-in clinics.. kung hadlok jud ka nga magbleeding, kuyaw mag-CS, whatever, pili nalang ug clinic nag accessible kaayo ug hospital, ug standby nalang ug money and transportation just in case.. anyhow, trained man sad na ang midwives when sila mag-refer to hospitals..
