take note on the bsod error codes
Some hints when you get BSOD's while tuning your overclock.
0x000000124 : QPI/VTT voltage is to Low or too High. On i7 45nm, usually means too little VVT/QPI for the speed of Uncore. On i7 32nm SB, usually means too little vCore
0x000000050 : Memory Timings or Ram frequency, uncore multi unstable. Iincrease RAM voltage or adjust QPI/VTT, or lower uncore if you're higher than 2x
0x000000101 : Not enough vCore or can also be related to the IOH vCore being a little low.
0x00000009C : The error is a MACHINE_EXCEPTION_ERROR. The tRCD maybe a little tight. Loosen it up a notch or add more vDimm or QPI/VTT.
0x000000109 : Not enough or too much memory voltage
0x00000001E : Increase vCore
0x00000003B : Increase vCore
0x00000003D : Increase vCore
0x0000000D1 : QPI/VTT, increase/decrease as necessary, can also be unstable ram, raise ram voltage
0x000000116 : Low IOH (NB) voltage, GPU issue (most common when running multi-GPU/overclocking GPU)
0x00000007E : OS is being detected as corrupt. Try increasing IO voltages (IOH/IOH vcore/vdimm).
0x00000000A : More QPI/VTT voltage
0x00000001A : If you get this while overclocking, you will need to tweak the vDimm, ram timings and the VTT/QPI voltage. This is a combination of those 3 settings. If you are not overclocking, suggest running Memtest on your dimms.

aside from this while benching (usually the multi-threaded ones) wPrime, vantage... take note on your temps. Gamit nako coretemp. From there ma-gauge nimo when imo thermal limit with the current cooler.
Bantay sa tj max niya (meaning ie mugawas sa coretemp 99c) so if mag OC ka tapos muabot na ana na temps... (around 10-30sec) automatic mu-thermal shutdown siya (thank god wala pa ko nasunugan, but had more than 10 thermal shutdowns on the i7 1366 OC sessions nako)

[edit] Hulat lang sa uban, not fan of laptops (lol) my aging aspire4530 is still sufficient when i am on the road. Masyagan ko palit mahalon na laptop... ie 60k pwde na nako palit wcs + new parts (ie another hdd on my 12tb++ drives
