PhysX will only decrease if your using a card thats not fast enough to perform the task, may it be dedicated or just off the main GPU

i only used dual VC - ati crossfirex (HD 4870 X2... quad gpu equivalent) plus the ageia physx card before... setting up my system was a breeze. don't have experience sa pag set up ug nvidia card that's dedicated to physx with ati as main gpu though... but naa link bro oh para sa nvidia VC set up para dedicated to physx.

A cpu can be used in physx computation... but a cpu can not be used in cuda computation...

Nvidia owned both PhysX (they acquired this from Ageia) and Cuda (they developed this)...

Your argument is ironic since "PhysX" runs off a cuda core but you say a CPU cannot be used in cuda computations.

Ok for arguments sake, if a CPU can be used for "PhysX" why would we need a nvidia based GPU?

You might wanna provide links to back up your claims..

Physics done on the CPU is usually from Havok, since "PhysX" is nvidia proprietary tech that ONLY runs in their GPU, but please prove me wrong.

ops, were not totally in the same frequency bro... my bad... i'm referring on the term "physx" in general... now, let me separate the variants... you are correct, havok physics can be done by cpu... Nvidia (Ageia) physx... can only be done by PPU (ageia) or gpu (nvidia)...

for cuda... this is nvidia owned, computation can be done only by their cuda compatible gpu... starting from their 8000 series upwards...

This is where the correct terminology comes into play, reminds me of the last argument I had here in istorya.. "The terms are not important" or so he says hehe.
