    add lang ko sa difference;
usually ang OS na OEM like Windows 7 OEM contains modifications and additions from the supplier na like themes, extra software for thier hardware or products like hardware maintenance utility, etc.

Example aning Samsung laptop nako with Samsung WIndows 7 OEM, naa na cyay mga pakapin na samsung theme and samsung softwares or bsag kanang HP na desktop daghan cya ug pakapin na HP softwares naa pa gani software na modirect ka contact sa ilang customer support.

OEM (Original equipment manufacturer)= die with the machine meaning non transferable if your PC or laptop is broken or dead

Full product= this is good just like paper license the same ni cla og feature "transferable"

kung ako papil-on bro go with the full product coz of its feature

There you go... sakto si Redline.... OEM licenses are non-transferrable, ang Retail Full product ra ang pwede...
Naa puy lain lain klase na OEM
    OEM: System builder
    OEM: Manufacturer specific

OEM System builder - can be bought on any Computer shops, 1 time license ra pd.
OEM Manufacturer specific - OEM Dell, OEM Samsung, OEM HP..... and must use product keys specific to the OEM Manufacturer itself.

If ever nagamit na nimo ang license, and wanted to reinstall on a different computer, you can activate through phone instead and may actually work, as long as no two machines are running at the same time with the same license.
You may be able to activate both through phone, but when updates come in, and both computers are online, mo.prompt dayon ug reactivation (Product key is already in use).

This applies to both the OEM and Retail copies nga no 2 computers can use the same license at the same time not unless Volume License siya... pero that's another story..

Ang kanindot sa Retail kay pwede ra jd cya maactivate online maskin new computer na siya, pero dapat gihapon siya ra jd isa with 1 product key ang connected sa internet.

OEM kay phone activation ra jd pwede and you cannot use an OEM specific installer, like a DELL disk to activate an HP machine. Mainstall lagi na nimo, pero di jd na mo.activate using any LEGAL means... uu

any new laptop that comes out from the manufacturer bundled/Pre-installed with OS is considered OEM

usually OEM nga OS is one-machine only, and cannot be used to other machine...

thats the idea of OEM... anyway... possible ni siya thru illegal means which i would not recommend... just buy original and you off to go... mahal... pero worth man sad... ako i usually got MS apps thru MSDN, im a mac guy which is taboo sad kaayo i use MS but i recommend and love MAC...

This explains it. Preloaded OSes are OEM. While OEM Windows for sale with certificate can be used only once, when it's installed on a system, then it will stay with that system during its lifetime. Non-transferable.

If you want to use a Windows OS that you are planning to use on your future PCs Or just simply want to transfer it to just any other another PC for indefinite number of times then better buy the Full product.

    Comprende??

and just to be specific, dili lang xa locked sa motherboard. locked to harddrive sad. so sa OEM, if you made changes to the harddrive or motherboard, mainvalid na imo licence. check License Terms.

another difference is the warranty. if oem, that basically means u provide ur own warranty or didto ka sa manufacturer sa imo computer.

but if FPP or retail, naa ka warranty thru MS. for win 7, warranty is usually 90 days after activation. some issues have lifetime warranties. like virus, updates and etc.

    hope this helps.

    sa license rana na lahi.

    ex:
if DELL imo computer then dili OEM imo Windows, they won't support it.
