i remember i was riding a 04L jeep to Ayala instead of a taxi kay mas cheaper ang P8.lol
Naay girl nisakay dpit JY Mall. She was still wearing her red ID pero nabali so wala ko kita sa name niya pero klaro kaayo ang logo sa company sa iyang strap. Sige siya storya sa phone about her calls, clients and everything. as in nagsige siya english. ang uban taw sa jeep gihilasan na niya ang uban dedma lang. Nahurot ang "well" og "so" og gamit...

nagdungan mi naog sa ayala. pagtikang niya nabali iyang ID. "Trainee" diay si ate.lols wala ka get over.

hala... over!!!! ma feeler gyud curo na cla nuh.. hahhaha..ai ambot lang sad...

I'm writing in English in this post, that does make me a jerk? Or is it just that I've been out of the country for a long time and I am still adjusting and relearning the language of my youth? You might find that hilarious, but it IS possible to begin forgetting your native tongue if you haven't used it for a long time. And I do get laughed at for saying the wrong words in bisaya and I shrug it off but nevertheless it can be really embarrassing when I forget certain words or worse use the wrong word and it changes the meaning of what I meant to say into something unintentionally humorous...

Good for you, you're learning English by heart. lol But since you think social climbers are those people who earn hard for good money, then I'm leaving you with your thoughts.

We never know the reason why they speak English in public. We can only assume their boasting. But, that's not to say we're correct. I am not for or against people speaking English in public places. Heck, it's a public place and they can speak in whatever language they want.

Enjoying speaking in vernacular and still being able to speak it perfectly after not having used it for 10+ years are different matters altogether. I hope you don't get the idea that I don't want to speak in vernacular, because that's not the case.

That isn't just about people working hard to earn money, it is also about pride. If they are proud of their accomplishments, and it seems to you they are arrogant, that's your problem. There is nothing wrong with people having pride, purpose and even showing off what they have accomplished.

Call center employees earn more than the average person, so I think they are entitled to be proud of what they have, a job that provides money most people would envy.

Lay off on the subtle insults they are neither effective nor necessary.

Uhhh.. no because that doesn't convey what I wanted to say. Where you get the idea that nobody cares what language they use, as is obvious and apparent in this thread, a lot of people are making a very big deal out of the language people use, that means they care.. a lot!

Para nako mas samok nang mga call center employee nga dako kaayug tingug. nangadto mi sa starbucks kagabii sa IT park inya naay mga taga call center nga gatupad namo, dako nga grupo to sila sagol 2x mga babae og bayot.. puwerteng hilasa jud dili kai nag-ininglish pero kai puwerteng dakoag tingug nangabungol mi sa ilang kahilasan. Nanglibak sila sa ilahang mga cliente inya grabeh ang pangatawa.

Kanang ingon ana nga mga tao ang angay sawayon... dili kai nag-ininglis pero walay mga batasan...
