ERASERHEADS DESTROYED LOCAL GROUND ...
Go dig the history of Cebu Music in the early 90's.... Go ask your elders about what happened on that 1992 Showdown 2 event featuring Eheads, Introvoys, Ledgerline & The Monks.
It's a shame if you're a Cebuano and u praise eheads.
Again, research the history of Cebu Music.
perhaps, this might help: *L O R A P A L O O Z A - ERASERHEADS YO GABA GABA
.
this band defines my childhood...
LoL @nashsatriani
how can you make your so-called "creative criticism" when you don't like the band from the start?! hater!
stop sourgraping bud! it seems like you're still living in the past, better keep up old guy...
when it comes to music, people should have a choice.. mao btaw sikat na si bieber og gaga because people listen to them while i'm on the other side of the fence listening to paul gilbert & vai, to each his own.. so kung naay mo butang og argument na eheads destroyed the local music industry, i'm not sold that argument.. sometimes the music industry could be like a jungle, survival of the fittest, as simple as that
the only thing i hate about too much commercialism is when it gets in the way of artistic creativeness of an artist or band, when people use too much technology (*cough* auto tune pitch correction *cough*) to cover up for lack of talent.. & i hate it when people dont get their moneys worth when watching a concert cuz of the artist/band's arrogance.. but mao gyud ni cya ang reality sa music business, to blame a band for the fall of the local business scene is almost not logical..
look at the OPM scene, if your band is good, then people would buy your music & see your concerts.. & then there's also competition from foreign acts.. but people have a choice so naa nila ang choice if they watch OPM or foreign bands, the only unfair part in this is that if the foreign acts get tax breaks the local bands don't, mao na but other than that its fair game
with regards to eheads, in my HS days i was part of an eheads cover band.. we played all the songs in their 1st 3 albums, drummer pa ko a2.. we only had 3 members.. one time we played at the school gym, pag abot sa chorus, ni hapak ko sa cymbals pero wla ma igo.. daghan ni katawa kay nakabantay man sila, ni tan-aw ko sa cymbals unya ingon 'bantay lang ka unya', next time pag hapak nko sa cymbals ni lupad btaw na dayun tagak sa floor.. kay wala man to lock ang cymbals, nag wild ang audience, hehe
