    salamat sa info bai
yup. but turboprops, as bro elvz mentioned, can go low and slow because they have props as the main source of thrust. 90% of thrust comes from the props and only 10% comes from the jet exhaust.

turbofans and turbojets can't go as slow like turboprops can. they produce so much power man gud. that goes out to show why our aircraft are mostly turboprop because we need low and slow flyers specifically for COIN operations. jets are just way too fast to use in our terrain.

you can only notice the UH-1H here pirmi. almost everyday. PAF's 205th tactical helicopter wing is based here that's why active kaayo diri ang huey. you can also notice MD-520's sometimes. the C-130 hercules flies here too as the 220th airlift wing is also based here. sometimes, PAF nomad and OV-10's fly here in cebu. the marchetti's, S211's and the other aircraft mentioned are mostly in luzon and mindanao.

a few days ago, a US C-17 globemaster graced my eyes once again as it landed here in cebu. balikatan na man gud. pagkanindot unta if we had a C-17 to support our C-130.

FYI sa mga taong sge reclamo ngano wala ta mga superjets etc. (copied and paste from timawa.net)

Here's lets talk about how much these aircraft will cost to operate -- after we get them. non-performing assets aren't very useful.

There are many factors that will affect these figures. For one thing, we have to factor in the cost of labor. However, the dramatic differences in prices between aircraft types cannot be dismissed.

Food for thought as we make our case for each MRF type.

    MRF
    F-16: Between $3,600 [1] to $9,000 per flight hour
    F-5E: $3,910 per flight hour
    F-5A/B: P114,660 per flight hour (1999 prices)
    F-8H/P: P92,690 per flight hour (1999 prices)
    F-18A: $5,977 per flight hour
    F/A-18C: $3,871 per flight hour
    Gripen: $2,000 [5] to $3,000
Mirage 2000: $2,700 per flight hour
Mig 21: $4,500 per flight hour (Lease rate, therefore includes profit mark-up)
Mig 17: $2,300 per flight hour (Lease rate, therefore includes profit mark-up)
F-4 Phantom: $5,628.52 to 5,804.41 per flight hour (See here to determine how these figures were computed)
    F-15: $6,000 to $8,000 per flight hour
Su-30MK: $12,000 per flight hour (RTAF)
    F/A-22: $44,000 per flight hour

    Attack aircraft
    OV-10: P62,133 per flight hour (1999 prices)
Harrier (USMC): $5,351 per flight hour

    Trainers
    S211: P77,243 per flight hour (1999 prices)
    T-33: P44,179 per flight hour (1999 prices)
L-39 Albatross: $1,700 per flight hour (Lease rate, therefore includes profit mark-up)
Embraer Super Tucano: $400 per flight hour

    Transports
    C-130: P225,000 per flight hour (1999 prices)

    AWACS
E-2C Hawkeye: $18,700 per flight hour

wala pa labot ang weapons replenishment like bullets rockets maintenance labor and etc....after purchase expenses....or maintenance expenses
