Unsa tools inyo ginagamit para web development? Ga develop man gud ko pero from scratch. Kabalo ko HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL dayon beginner pa ko sa Joomla. Nag advice ako classmate na mag gamit daw ko ug PHP Framework, naa pud isa mag gamit daw ug CMS. Using these tools would make development faster daw. Wala pa ko ka try gamit ug PHP Framework. Actually karon galibog lang ko about these terms and what to use. So mag ask lang ko sa inyo unsa tools gamit ninyo, then advices pud. Thanks!

Frameworks and CMSs were made to make repetitive/mundane tasks tolerable for programmers. A good framework is a Godsend, a CMS is just another layer of abstraction for non-programmers. Here are my preferences:

Frameworks:
Codeigniter (best, imho) -PHP
Zend Framework -PHP
Ruby on rails -ruby
jQuery -JS

CMS:
Drupal
Wordpress
PyroCMS (powered by Codeigniter)

Of course wala jd ni siyay mga gamit kung dli ka mu learn sa basics. Dli jd nmu ma leverage ang power ani nga mga tools.

So, nindot na imo gibuhat. Start making small stuff from scratch first kay kung drecho ka gamit ani na tools, it'll just confuse you. Or if it doesn't, it will make you a lousy programmer.

Kind of off-topic, I wanted to know what IDLE or IDE do PHP programmers here in istorya use. Share daw mo.

avoid using opensource framework as much as possible, its better you create one for your own.... kay ug maanad mo ana maglisod mug trabaho basta hardcore php na ang buhaton... if cant be avoided try to balanced it using framework and using classic php

isa pud opesource framework had some security issues, since kay public siya dali kay ni siya ma exploit sa mga way lingaw nga programmer...

Ok raman ang opensource framework bro dili mansad nimo ma siguro nga ang imong code 100% hack free. If kabalo ka asa dapit ang weak spot sa framework ikaw nalang ang mo puno depende rana sa imong code
