Nahan lng ko maka kuha general idea of what the going rate for Web designer's here in Cebu is.

Ang gamit ani kay pde ni mahimong reference for new web designers, pra makahibaw sila na wala sila mo overcharge or undercharge.

To make the data more effective and relevant. Please tell us a little about yourself.

I'll start:

1. Web developer - 5 years. Web Designer - 3 years
2. Freelance - charging 60 USD / hour
3. Most of my clients are Americans

Wala pmn gd ko kasuway jd ug charge ug Pinoy pra develop ug website. As in, either free ra or mag inom ra mi. Hehe.

Actually brader noh, kung imo nang susihon, gmay ra kaayo nang 60/hour kung imo clients kay Americano. Ang going rate sa devs na available nila kay 180.

Naa pd gani lain istoryan na 6k ang buwan. Pero, regular job nuon toh iya. Naa pd koy amigo, giingnan ko na patas-an pa daw nko gamay ako rate. Naa rajd na sa taw brader. Nag sugod gd kog, 8k (or 6k ba toh?) saona. Bigfoot.

Although, mu admit ko na now that I re-read my post. It's a bit misleading. Puro mn diay web designer ako storya but ang rate ako gibutang is, for the most part, for developers. Dala na web design gamay pero dli jd cya hardcore.

This is a good example of such a job. At first, gi hire ko nila for 40$/hour. Then ang americano na dev nila jd ang nag tudlo nko nga pasak-an ako rate. 120 mn iya. Mao toh pag contact nila nko for the next project, pa busy2x dayon ko. offeran ko nila ug 80/hour, nya ang americano na dev kay gipasak-an ug 180. This was 2 years ago, back when the USD was still very strong. Needless to say, I was quite happy.

The website (albeit, bati jd kaayo cyag nawng and totally inefficient) is now earning 7500 USD per day. To this day, we (the American and me) are still their on call tech/devs. They hired other devs and designers to regularly maintain the site.

Mindset Media was a dev/designer job. Same american dev ang ni refer nko. Lingaw ni siya kay ang among mga boss kay mga programmer pd.

Anyways, balik ta sa topic. It's not like naa puy mubasa aning ako ipang type. Hai nko.

I dont think so if they have that salary for 180 dollar per hour. why I can tell that because I know too.. not to offense .. peace

You'd be surprised how much people will pay for things they don't know about but really want.

I take no offense in your statement. We all have different experiences, this is mine, that is yours. I'm not posting here to make some kind of statement about my status. I'm here, because I don't know the going rate for everybody else.

Some Filipinos are starting to ask for my service and I can't keep on working for free. That being said, I can't give them my regular rate, either. It's, obviously, too steep.

So I want to know how much others, who have more experience, than I do. Apparently, this thread has gone in a different direction than intended.

I take no offense in your statement. We all have different experiences, this is mine, that is yours. I'm not posting here to make some kind of statement about my status. I'm here, because I don't know the going rate for everybody else.
