i agree with butitoy and earlz. we are debating. with regards also in our experiences as we have tried and tested on both parties such as intel and amd. dili man pod mi basta2x lang mag post kung dili related sa topic. amo ra pod gitubag si TS according sa iyang follow-up questions base on previous post.

the i5 2500K have the edge almost across the board..being same hungry at 95W, using intel i5 2500K will mean a lot in your project timetable and electric bill..

i5, theres no real option to get the X6, its cheaper but it performs lower if you look at the over all performance on the X6 vs the i5, the X6 does not really warrant the 1k lower in price, if it were 2k lower then the X6 would have been a better deal in its price point.

At the end of the day, its really your choice. if you wanna buy the cheaper processor then you get a significantly lower performance.

negligible ra kaayo ang price difference, but noticable kaayo ang overall performance gap, not to mention better power efficiency(lami i OC)

i'd rather choose the AMD way... my purpose for this is for my useful software like autocad, photoshop, illustrator, in design, coreldraw and some games.. please help... bcn mas nindot na ang 30k na budget ani.... thanks..

If mao ni ang case, then go with Intel.
Pero mo deal man ka og photoshop, illustrator og autocad then go with AMD nalang.
Phenom II X4 955 should suffice, not unless dunganon na nimo tanan.
then ang subra2 na kwarta, e palit nlng og nindot na monitor. TRUST ME 24"+ na monitor NIIINNDDOOOT kaayo e photoshop og illustrator ana, dili mag huot ang canvass.
