I have a problem with this thread for the following reasons:
1. It sounds like an urban legend. From wikipedia -- Urban legends are sometimes repeated in news stories and, in recent years, distributed by e-mail. People frequently allege that such tales happened to a "friend of a friend" -- so often, in fact, that "friend of a friend," ("FOAF") has become a commonly used term when recounting this type of story.
2. The "facts" are vague and barely verifiable. There are no specifics about the story.
3. If something like this really DID happen, it would be on the news.
4. This thread is not cautionary but alarmist. There are more than enough threats and scary things in the world right now that are very real. We really don't need to be adding more to the list.
5. Before we create a thread, we should post responsibly and do some fact-checking instead of using the "friend of a friend" as a source.
6. Seriously? The passenger riding in the front seat was not seen? Invisible man? How can someone ride in the trunk when SM guards check the trunk of taxis going inside the SM area?
i do agree with flextime that the story lacks some facts jud to make it plausible. mura lang siya gi spread nga rumor bah. that's why i was asking unsa name sa taxi operator so that we can be cautious in the future if we ever hail a taxi cab.
