There is a confusion in many religious chat and discussions over the internet... I mean we know its quite popular today to join a so called interfaith or ecumenical gathering where muslims, hindus, pagans, christians, and even devil worshippers join together and unite in a prayer service believeing that there is only ONE GOD and this God would hear their prayers because its the same God only different names.. so is this true and do you believe in such a movement where Allah and Khrisna and YaWeH is the same God? Is Allah the Father of Jesus?

actually, the tetragrammaton (YHWH) is the name of God revealed in the old testament. It is a holy name in which the hebrews will not pronounce it like what we did in the english translation into JeHoVaH or YaHWeH.

In Islam, the name Allah is a universal name which also means GOD in english. But the God in Koran is not the same God of the old testament. In Islam, their GOD is a transcendent being which has no form or figure and so far that we as humans could not comprehend. Unlike the God of the Christians which is a personal GOD, one in essence, 3 persons, the father, Son and Holy Spirit. Who exists in love and relationship throughout in eternity.

So you mean that there's a Christian God and a Muslim God as well as a Hindu God and they are fighting somewhere up there? Since you say that the God in Islam is not the same with the God of Christians? How absurd can you get? What's the purpose of being called GOD when you have these other Gods that compete with you?

I believe there is a big difference not only in names but also in attributes... if we examine closely.. down to the core we will see and understand that the God of the Bible is a truly gracious and merciful God...the ultimate proof of His divine love for us is the incarnation of His only begotten Son. God sent His only Son to redeem us and save us from the bondage of sin and death... (john 3:16-17) If we compare other so called deities or gods of other religion.. its only the Judaeo-christian God who Himself came and died for His people.
