My husband's line of work entails me to meet lots of seaman and other OFW's. Have met lots of them during our travels abroad and learnt about their joys, pains and sufferings. Their common complains are, lack of communication. ...maayo lang daw mo dawat ug allotment, daghan pa jud ug mga tugon nga epa palit pero halos dili gani mo sulat, email or text.

Halos kada tawag nila sa balay thru phone, kanunay wala ang wife kay ga laag. Pag uli daw nila, asikasong asikaso for the first days from arrival but pag mo abot na ug months balikason na dayon kay wala naman kwarta... and many more.....etc.etc. Their beautiful dreams for the family were shattered because of these mistakes nga na taken for granted lang as years passed by.....and very true enough,,,it takes 2 to tango!!!!

The mother plays a very important role.....to also teach/train the children to love, serve and respect their father when they are around, mao nalang nay consolation sa father pag uli niya from a hard days work or from a long absence.

If the husband is very much welcome at home, he has no reason to be that selfish or go astray. Let us make our house a home worth coming.

excluding OT and other allowances nga mao dawaton sa imo papa onboard
ug bout huna hunaon mas dako gihapon kitaon sa usa ka ordinaryo
seaman kompara sa iya gipadala nga 80% from his basic salary...
