Alright, I'm sorry I missed the DSWD part. But still, from that very link you shared, the message was clear: that DSWD had a job to do, just like MTRCB. I'll say the same thing from my previous reply, if they do not rebuke such act, they will be defeating the very purpose of their constitution. Maypa wa nalang DSWD kung way mu-laban sa right sa bata. Dili man na pasikat, they're doing their jobs.

Now about the "why single out TV5? What about Goin' Bulilit?" I agree, we've also seen children do some equally "questionable" performances from Goin' Bulilit, Showtime, Eat Bulaga, et. al., too many to single out any particular one. It just so happened that this is the first time that we've seen the host bully the kid, and this also happened to be the first time that someone decided to put his foot down and air his displeasure about what happened. It doesn't help that Willie has a fair share of haters already, malas lang siya nga siya ang na-abtan sa final straw that withheld the floodgates of wrath. Mao na, this should be a lesson na to every network that nothing of an analogous nature should ever be allowed to happen again. They should be more careful and they should not get too cocky, thinking that no one cares enough to bring it up to everyone's attention.

TV5 and the parents can give their reasons, and they should be respected. Ilaha sad na. But that doesn't change the fact that changes have to be made.

I know you said you're not rooting for Willie but still, just to put things in perspective...

Willie said (from that link you shared):

Para niya wa niya gi-bastos ang bata but his actions say otherwise. Ka-klaro ato iyang gipa-hiya o! Who is he kidding? Tell that to the marines, Willie! This wasn't the first time we've heard Willie use the "nagdadala kami ng saya" line, that's all he banks on. I am not a Willie hater, I actually find him pretty cool and funny, that is when he isn't stirring up the pot of controversy.

Will diverting attention away from your mistake to another wrong do any good? "Sige, mangawat ko, ay ko ninyo tagda kay naa pay mas grabe nako, naay nang-rape diha silingan nako ay." Mao na ang logic? Di nalang nato tagdon? Abi "lesser evil" ra?

There's really nothing more to argue. Di nalang ta mu-ingon nga puros ra pasikat basta naa gani mu-action regarding some popular issue. And you wonder why people say nga grabe ang crab mentality sa Pilipinas. Paita sad. We have to put a stop to this if we're ever going to become a better nation.

Regarding the "they're doing this/not doing this kay wala gi-televise", do you know for a fact that they aren't doing their jobs? Just because you saw a bunch of street kids sniffing rugby or something? Kay wala man gi-televise, wala sad ka kahibaw. They (DSWD) can only do so much. In fact we as citizens should give our fair share, dili ra ta puros salig sa gobyerno nya ato ra sad diay sawayon kay "way gamit" o way epekto.

This is not about a network war, or ABS-CBN finding a chink in Willie's armor, it's more than that, let's not stick to that premise. This is about improving the standard and quality of life here in the Philippines.

And now they are dragging "Going Bulilit" into this mess.

Going Bulilit is a comedy/gag show. Everything's part of a script.

Willing-Willie is supposed to be a " PUBLIC SERVICE" show as the host and the other fanatics here are claiming before.

    Or am I wrong?

If you have any complaints about Going Bulilit go ahead and call the attention of DOLE. End of story.

Now, anyone who's saying that there's nothing bad about it,,,,think of Jan Jan as your very own child, think of your kid's face when he cried (regardless of the reason) and when the host asked him to dance again given the fact that he will be given money. Will you, as a decent parent, tolerate such act? I don't know with you, but if it was me, I will never let my child be a laughing stock of anyone,,,,,I am blaming the parents as much as I blame the host,,the situation could have been different IF ONLY the host did not ask the kid to dance again and again,,sakita sa dughan,,,

Not that it matters but I already gave my opinion on that:

That is enough to negate the surprise on Willie’s part. Once he had done his performance, the best thing that Willie could’ve done was to put a stop to it and give the kid (and his family) the money they wanted. They go to the show for no other reason, even at the risk of embarrassing themselves, for the money. Willie is smart enough to know that. But instead of feeling for them he has to have some fun with the kid before he gives him the money. If you saw the video, Willie had to make Jan-jan dance two more times! Willie could’ve saved the kid and the parents from the wrong decision they made, but instead Willie imposed his bullying self for some entertainment. That is wrong, and that is where this outburst stemmed from.

do you know the reason why the kid cried? was it about Willie's bullying? or was the kid afraid of Bonel? is this the first time the kid did this in a show or a talent competition? labag ba sa kalooban ng bata to do it? for me, his parents knows better than us. if there are people who should be so affected about the incident dapat pamilya ni Jan-Jan ug si Jan-Jan mismo, diba? again, my issue isn't more about the show but how government address this issue, we have rampant cases of abused and exploited children, are they giving actions? do you know statistics about exploitations in the Philippines? it is increasing... if DSWD is aware and concerned about kid's right, cases of abused and exploitation wont increase. the government should have programs to enhance or to educate people about human rights especially children like advocacy, program development/implementation, resource mobilization/sustainability, capacity-building/training, etc etc etc... but did i heard any programs from DSWD about this? in Cebu naa ba? instead of doing those programs naa sila ga focus sa Willing Willie karun. dugay naman ni lingkod si Dinky sa position but wala pako na dunggan improvement sa ingun ana na mga cases. how about you, can you site me an improvement about DSWD?

Studies have consistently pointed to at least three major immediate factors that push children to stay or live on the streets. These are the poverty of the family, family relationship factors (child physical or sexual abuse), and peer-gang influence. DSWD wat is happening? i know what u mean about citizens should give our fair share, but how can we give if mismo ang government mauy ga binoang - kabi kabila ang corruption, mismo sila ga tinirahay? how can i help if mismo ang government di tabangan ang mga kabus - ni samut ka pobre daw ang mga Pinoy according to studies. mao gani gibutang natu sila sa position arun naay mo lead ug mahimo natung model pero...... sigh!

just want to react on this:

"It just so happened that this is the first time that we've seen the host bully the kid, and this also happened to be the first time that someone decided to put his foot down and air his displeasure about what happened. It doesn't help that Willie has a fair share of haters already, malas lang siya nga siya ang na-abtan sa final straw that withheld the floodgates of wrath."

is child abuse and exploitation only covers bullying a kid? just want to ask also, if aware na jud sila about abusing and exploitation sa mga bata sa una pa unta ni lihok ang DSWD, why is it karun pa man? when Wowowee was still aired sa ABS CBN, daghan sab bata didto na babae na ang talent kay igat igat ba murag s3xbomb, mugbo sab ug sanina, do you think its an act of exploiting children also? unsa naka deperensya kay Jan-Jan ug sa uban bata na babae? and why is it wala man na issue si Willie before karun pa man na naa na sya sa TV5? pana panahon lng diay ni ilang balaud or sa matimingan lang? just wondering....

gamay rani sya na issue, gipa dako lang. open your eyes people, mas daghan problema sa gawas kaysa sa sulod sa TV station. mas daghan pa need ug attention na mga bata kaysa kay Jan-Jan. i just do hope dili mabahiran ug showbiz ang politics if you know what i mean.

You are missing my point. Your reactions stem more from pricked pride than actual fact. I don't mean to sound condescending. This is the very reason why I don't like engaging in online debates, wa gyud kahumanan kay puros man mga ngilngig. Basta ako, I articulated very clearly what I wanted to say. I did not write very long replies to attack your character. Please read and comprehend my previous replies. Bisag asa na man ni-lagpot imong lalis. I'm sorry if I got to you or made you feel like I am very hostile. I already answered everything you asked in your last reply, except about the Bonel bit (and if you want to know my opinion, he did not cry because of Bonel.)

@Jumperman: bro, fyi, dili ikaw akong target but the government. im not here for a debate sa imo but i just want to express my opinion na dili dapat pag aksayahan ng panahon ang issue about Jan-Jan because it is nothing compared to those kids who needs more attention. "TV5 and Wil Productions express profound regret for any insensitivity on their part, and wish to thank all those who have expressed concern", so i guess ma okay na ni sya. if ever ipa dako pa ni sa DSWD it will become funnier...

about the Bonel question, i just referred it sa article about what TV5 and Willie said.

again, its not about you, or your character but my opinion about the how government specifically DSWD addressed the issue.

Not funny at all. Tasteless and bordering on child abuse. If you were a parent, would you subject your kid to such a treatment?

I also don't agree to the thought na "there are bigger problems out there" mentality. Di gyud to maayo para sa bata nga i-subject sya ug ingon ato nga treatment, whether it's in national TV or whatnot.
