being dumped is like being forced to walk plank and fall overboard a ship. basically, you have to stay afloat. too much movement will render you attractive to sharks. just be relaxed and maintain being afloat until another ship would pass by and pick you up.

Spend more time with your family. Works like a charm especially when you have younger siblings. We go out for videoke sessions, eat burgers, take morning and evening walks, talk about past and present crushes, the sky's the limit. The result? They have a good time and feel happy; and happiness is contagious when it happens to people that you love. Two birds hit with one stone.

After a failed relationship, I thought I wouldn't be able to carry on with the pain because he was my life and had everything planned out for both of us (or so I thought)... A couple of months were in total denial and "blaming myself" why he left me in the cold... then another couple of months I've "experimented" and "rebelled" against the norms and let myself go just to feel numb afterwards. I became indulgent, selfish, impulsive and did everything which I didn't normally do. At first I felt a sheer pleasure of the rather new feeling but later on I felt the void in me... it's like I've been dumped once again... or I was being reminded of the thought that I wasn't made his BEST CHOICE in the end...

Then after those dark episodes of my path to recovery, I've kept myself busy with worthwhile projects like I went back to writing, dancing and I joined various dynamic groups to broaden my horizon and saw for myself what's really out there for me. From the whole experience, I've come to appreciate myself even more with the help of my support system who was always there since day one... and the groups I've been with had made me realized that I deserve something/someone even better. They simply brought out the best in me.

So now I've looked back thinking that being dumped is a blessing in disguise... without that traumatic experience, I wouldn't have found myself in the whole mess.
