best way is really to do a signal survey, all you need to do is have a wifi router.... then position it in a location that is common to all users. Then you go around with your laptop and check if the signal can reach the desired area. If the signal does not reach that part, you might need to get a wifi repeater.

It depends on where you install it coz there are a lot of factors that will affect how far the signal can go, like walls, trees, other signals. But relatively it should be far enough.
