murag wala pa ko kita sukad ug 8 port router bro.. 4 ports pa lang akong nakit an.

sayon ra man mag set-up ana bro kung naa kay gamay background.

mao ni route niya:

internet >> modem >> router >> switch >> PC

imong buhaton is, ang tanang PC, i set nimo as "Obtain IP Automatically"

then sa imong router settings, pangitan nimo ang "DHCP" nga settings. imong e on ang setting then e set nimo ang range sa IP.. ex: 192.168.1.100 up to 192.168.1.200 (ikaw nay bahala pilay range basta at least mo sulod sa maxium units nimo)

ingon ana ra ka simple bro.

dapat gyud naka straight through ang imong cables..

ingon ani ang set-up sa amoa bro.. ok raman.. mas nindot gani ingon ani kay ma wifi hotspot na nuon inyo lugar

Good PM guys, i need help in setting up LAN between 8 or more computers using a switch. i know a bit about networking (router/modem), but wala pa ko ka try ug switch. sa ako lang nahibaw.an,
Set up ip address on each computer
Create Homegroup
Use straight cables between switch and pc
but if you can go into details with examples, the better
and also, unsa inyo ma recommend nga switch? kanang d sad kaau mahal, pang gaming/internet ra btaw

yes but more expensive, like Cisco RV082 (8port) and Cisco RV016(16port)

if u have already the cisco rv082, use it as router & dhcp server as well.i think u can use its 8 lan ports to connect your pc's, though i am not familiar with this device but i know cisco's capability.

use your modem as bridge only to connect to your isp so not to cause intensive cpu & memory usage.

Prices are not as low as the ordinary routers but it's very very stable.
And if you have more than 10 Users I would really suggest getting this router, even just the Cisco RV042 model.
