@akunih,i think 40k for mid-gaming is enough you can choose if you want.
Based on my supplier's price list the cost difference between 2x2GB sticks and a single 4Gb stick is not even over 200 bucks, performance impact is also relative to the added cost in getting 2x2Gb sticks.
For the longest time I've been using more than 2 sticks of ram, I've never had a single issue unless the ram is dead on arrival, Im pretty sure you can say the same but you just wanna defend your single stick claim and thats fine with me.
Since you really want to go there, then let me tell you.. I dont sugar coat my posts to appease emo kids or pansies, Yes I have been like this since 2001 ( even if my new registration date is 2002 ) in istorya because I attack the idea and not the poster, people such your self take things too personally and too out of context just to incite drama or feel "victimized" , suck it up and man up Im pretty sure you read other forums aside from istorya I dont see you crying a river when someone says an advise is either stupid or wrong.
Again im sure you will take my response above personally and blow it out of context, no offense ment.
EDIT
What I find amusing though that the one who gave the advise did not over react, I believe he actually got the context of the post and didnt take it too personally. Kudos to you!
EDIT2
I just realized I failed to paste the specs on my first reply, This is what I made for a friend, but dili ni 2nd generation i5 this was done last yr.
i5 650
Gigabyte motherboard , forgot the exact model
GTX570
2x2GB DDR3-1333Mhz
1TB Samsung Harddrive
600Watts Silverstone PSU
Case/mouse/speakers
23" Samsung LED monitor
With the recent price drop, the specs deimondevil posted is actually good aside from the motherboard... Just for a few more bucks you can get a better Asus or Gigabyte motherboard.
You may Opt to use a cheaper generic case to compensate for the cost.
Morag dako ra kaayo for gaming ang 8GB total, I just got this because of the sideline work I used to do before and it required LOTS of ram to complete, 2x2GB would be more than enough probably till end of 2012.
Your recommendation of the videocard is solid enough and he would get a lot better performance with that videocard as compared to spending for 8Gb.
