~so today me and honey[smarkies] went colon for laag2x lng... kini laging busy kaayo sa work prme.. in a week halos dli nami magkita ni smarkies so we decided to make it "sulit" by roaming the streets of colon to enjoy ourselves... mind u i enjoy colon better than malls anyway.. as we were passing by this one street, honey pointed out that this was the place where "lola" always hangs out to sell her peanuts... so crossing my fingers, i hoped for lola to be there.. and sure enough with her tired eyes and little body, she leans by the post waiting for passersby to notice her humble merchandise... my heart went out to lola instantly.. scanning around i saw people buzzing here and forth, oblivious to lola's presence... so i turned to honey and convince him that we buy something for lola... so there, we bought some bread and water... and noticing lola's worn out slippers, we too grabbed her a pair of slippers...

~we approached lola and i talked to her asking how much does she sell her peanuts.. 10 pesos per pack... so i bought from her... noticing me, she covered her eyes as though "nauwaw" coz i wanted to buy all her peanuts.. ako dayon gitunol among gipalit nga pan and tubig for her... as well as the slippers.. she began to put all the mani sa plastic bag kay free nalng daw... ako xa gi-stop telling her nga 3 packs nlng.... hayz... lola looked so happy maski mao ra to amo-ang nahatag... talked to her about her family and stuff.. learned that she needs to sell peanuts daw kay wla nay mubuhi niya...

~my heart goes out to lola jd.. how many of us, including me complain of the things we can't have? how many of us fails to thank the LORD for what we DO have? Lola doesn't complain, despite her age and her weakness she tries to live day by day on her own... tonyt on, ill pray for Lola's safety...
