Was Cebu ever hit by any major disaster?

I've done alot of research on this, no results. Yay we're invincible.
Though i've asked my mum. She said Cebu has been hit by typhoons many times causing floods but said too nothing serious took effect.

base sa akong experience, ruping ug katong linong atong 1989 man cguro to.. bsta akong na remember, natumpag jud among balay sa ruping, then katong linog, murag kusog2x to kay perting panggunit sa akong mama sa among stereo.. hehehe!!
