three words man na xtian.
hehehe
Atol gyud aning siopao ay mobikil pa gyud
PC Gaming is expensive. And so are other hobbies. Would you want your expensive M95 sniper rifle to use cheapo binoculars for optical zoom? Would you want your Ferrari running on LPG? Would you want your kickass Samsung 42 inch LED TV to use a DVR players? Would you want your FLACS playing on a cassette tape? No right? These are luxuries. Luxuries that you should be ready to pay a ton.
While I may have said its expensive, sometimes it all comes to how you would utilize your hardware. Ask any member that knows me here personally and they'll tell you that I have been struggling on a cheapo GeForce 210 for like 10 months. No overclocks.
Sigh, I've wanted to have a fun talk more about the APIs pa man unta until someone thought this was a Glorious PC Gaming Master Race vs Dirty Console Peasants thread![]()
jowk ra na xtian
kiss ko beh. LOL
duh. console gaming could not be directly compared to pc gaming anyhow... off topic naman ni kaau...
ang discussion dapat regarding directx. naabot naman sa punto na console vs pc naman ang gi lalisan

e balik lang nato sa topic kay i want to know more pud. =) so now moving forward..
Is it true that the image/3D quality not in terms of FPS but the color/sharpness/HDR toning looks better in PC rather than consoles? Let's take into account that we are testing only one 1080p monitor. HDMI mode.
The one on the left is PS3 footage. Right is PC with the specs in it obviously.
This one right here, is the full image of the PS3 version:
Spoiler!
Raw and exact image the PS3 is outputting. No resizes, no loss in quality. Now, in your huge widescreen display, download the image and view it in fullscreen, that is what the PS3 looks like the same way as you would look at it on a full HD 42-50 inch Plasma TV.
Because the console is a closed system, memory, processor, vram and filesize is to be considered. You can't just get a gang of code monkeys and tell them to start coding all they want.
So what are you going to do about it? Textures are being scaled down, losing quality and some of it at being altered in color quality. Maps are being scaled down to reduce memory usage. You fire less light rays on rendering to accommodate both ram and processor. You set a framerate cap to accommodate the vram. You lose some polygons because polygons eat resources.
Now EVEN if you have a kickass Plasma TV, it will not look as good as the rendered PC version. Your 22 inch LCD Monitor with Crysis 2 on high looks better than it.
Also DP>HDMI.
Image quality depends on several factors, the output device(console/GPU), input device (Monitor/TV) and the color space used.
If your on the PC, with one of those highend H-IPS panels then you can get the best possible color accuracy if you have a hardware calibrator and do some changes on the color space used.
In short, yes on the PC color accuracy is better.
You forgot to mention that DP is free and there will never be overpriced Monster Cable™ Gas Injected, Gold Plated DisplayPort Cables. Only HDMI. But DP is not about home entertainment either. It's just sad that HDMI is being considered as mainstream and as a replacement to DVI.
