Kadaghan na ko nakabutar ni tomas... he's a good mayor,administrator and visionary. No question about that.... blema lang ani niya kay ang iya pagka arrogante! Ning lubad na sad si tomas kadugayan... He doesnt have the heart for the poor. Naka-meet naman ko anang Tomas Osmena kai kaila man siya sa amigo sa akong papa. I also saw him at Dr. Rivera's clinic. Dili man siya arrogante bro, wala pa gali siya nagpa-special treatment sa kang Rivera. I think overblown ra kaayo sa media ang iyahang pagka-arrogante.. labi na sa Sunstar nga ang tag-iya parente ra pud sa iyang mga kontra.

Unsa may mas arrogante, si Tomas o kanang mga tao nga grandstanding kaayo inya permi lang mag posing 2x sa mga social events nga daghan kaayog alahas og engrande kaayog gipangsulob. Asta mga kuyog engrande kaayo og dato. Para sa akoa, ang pagka-arrogante ni Tomas (kung tinood ba jud) gikan sa iyahang higugma para sa Cebu.. Ang pagka-arrogante sa iyang mga kontra gikan sa ilahang VANITY og NARCISSIST nga personality. Mao ra na.. peace

Empowered man ang atoang Local Executives (City and Municipal Mayors)
They are really the one running their turfs not the Governor.

Dili man gani ka badlong si Gov. Gwen ni Mayor Soc.
Gui sungay na cya sa mga Loot sa Daan-bantayan wala man Gov. Gwen mahimo.
Duna problema si kinsa gyud ang tinuod mo lingkud nga Mayor sa Compostela. Duna ba papel ang Governor?
The Governor can intervene but can't force some issues.
Mao bitaw daghan kaayo na oras ang Gov. ug SUROY-SUROY kay wala ra kaayo trabaho. hehehe

There's a Provincial Board to Legislate Laws and Ordinances beneficial to the Provice.
The Governor is tasked to implement these Laws and Projects but not run the local gov't units.

I even wonder why there are congressman who feels like they are above the Mayors.
The mayor run the entire City or municipality, while big Cities are divided into different districts to mention North and South for Cebu City so representation to the Congress is effective. They Legislate not Execute but still they want to dip their fingers into Projects to be able to get the SOPs.

If you know how to swim in a 10 Feet pool you will know how to swim in a 2000 feet deep sea.
The only difference is how far you can go and survive.

Regarding Mayor Soc, he is not the problem but his son.
As for Loot, nah, it can be disregarded. Gwen has been promoting Cebu as a festival island, but I don't know why Loot did not participate in the last Pasigarbo. But think about this, Sun is still allied with the Gwen, so this might spell that the Loot's arent entirely anti-Gwen.

For Compostela, it is Comelecs' action that is needed, not that of Gwen.

Suroy-suroy is not entirely nonsense. Those from the province intawn nga mga taw, naka negosyo ug ginagmay tungod sa pag-boom sa tourism sa mga dapit nga sa una wala gyuy tagad ug tarong nga promotion (...i am not exempting Gwen's father on this).

Gwen has taken grip on majority of the mayors. And there are a number of them. I am not saying that Tomas cannot do this, but Gwen (for me) is such a a good executive even if maldita. Buhat maoy pasultion.

I agree with you on those congressman nga feeling mas taas pa sa mga local executives. wth, if wala pa na sila pork barrel, murag dili ra kaau na cla mailhan sa mga taw. ang mayors gyud ang hands-on.

If si tomas nag swim sa 10ft pool for how many years, and si Gwen naglangoy-langoy na pud sa kadagatan ug same ra gihapon nga tuig, i would still prefer for both of them to swim where they currently are. Would be safe for both of them kay naanad na sila.

Bottomline, I still want Tommy for Cebu City. No one can handle the City better than him. The city has much bigger problems than the province, so mas nindot si Tom gyud ngari.

As for the province, ambot lang kaha kinsay ipuli kay last term naman ni Gwen. If mubalik run iya papa, ay ambot nalang. Mas dako chance ang kontra.

I am not anti-Tom. Just sharing my opinion. I actually voted for Gwen for the last 3 provincial elections pud. Not that bilib na kaau ko ni Gwen, pweo walay au ang kontra.
