if this is true, we humans can never move on and away from fossil fuel dependent technology.

Sometime in 2004-2005, I got an email from an American friend who wanted to explore the possibilities of creating ethanol from sugarcane, and he wanted to find out if Cebu island could be a good place for such a business. I believe he eventually went to places like Bogo, to check out the sugar cane production there, and such, but I think he eventually gave up because there was a lack of venture capitalists who supported his idea.

I think it would work. Ethanol from sugar cane. He also had an "offshoot" plan--create another plant/factory nearby that creates hydrogen for hydrogen fuel cells.

there are a lot of options to generate fuel. but i don't understand why we are not pursuing alternatives before. the world is revolving around fossil fuels until now.
