Guys, I just read it from Paul Tan's Automotive News that Honda Malaysia is recalling 2nd Generation Honda Jazz & 3rd Generation Honda City in their country.

Do our HONDAs here share the same production line to those distributed in Malaysia?

so far the site says
"In the affected cars, the lost motion springs – which are compressed by rocker arms in normal engine use – may bend or break over time, resulting in irregular engine noise and potentially causing engine stalls. No related crashes or injuries have been reported so far."

Well, I believe our city & jazz here were manufactured in Thailand. And Malaysia gets the Thailand manufactured Honda Jazz & City... Therefore we ran the same units as theirs. But I think, Honda parts were sourced from more than 1 supplier... But dako possibility nga maapil jud gihapon ang ubang local units nato diri given the circumstances stated above...

I think preventive replacement sa suspected parts ra man tingali sir... And honda admitted nga parts are being shipped to their dealers na! An owner just have to wait for their advise kon when sila mag ilis...
