What I dont agree with is most of the fans might think that BB inflicted that damage without df to boot on the same shanks that we are seeing right now. When IMO it happened when both are still rookies so shanks isnt really that strong yet. So its a fair fight between rookie pirates. Its not df less BB vs yonkou, haki master shanks. Its more like rookie df less BB vs rookie haki less shanks IMO.

IAWTC. BB (w/o DF) vs. Shanks (w/o haki) is what I imagined when I mentioned that they were most probably evenly-matched in that fight. I give you a high-five for saying that "its a fair fight between rookie pirates" (emphasis is mine). Most people tend to forget that before they were Schichibukai BB and Yonkou Shanks, they were merely rookies. Granted, they were strong rookies and were members of very powerful pirate crews, but rookies nonetheless.

What's with all the BB hate? I know that is par for the course since he is the villain of the series. True, there are times when he acts overconfident one second and cowardly the next. And this aspect of his personality makes him even more interesting IMHO. But saying that he is a cowardly dog as if this is his only identifier is a bit of a stretch. Also I feel insulted for WB if you think the only reason BB was in his crew is because WB takes charity cases. WB is one badass motherf*cker, a fact which you seem to be forgetting.

Let him be. This just goes to show how good ODA is with his work.^^ There's actually a thin line between cowardice and cleverness. This happens all the time when I play dota. I choose my fights. Haha..
