stoning is mentioned in the bible..

ever recall Jesus famous words? "he that cast that first stone to thy woman, should cast unto me first..."

or the 1st prophet, stephen who has been stoned to death for proclaiming the words of Jesus throught the world..

Stoning is an old form of execution that existed long before.. even in Jesus times and even before that..

The old law still applies to some parts in the world.. especially those countries that christianity is haven't been heard of.....

Apparently, if those two people didn't commit adultery, then no stoning should have happened. If you ask me, if there's somebody to be blamed, it's these two people. They are grown ups and know that adultery is a big no no thus there will be consequences. And oh, have they forgotten that the country is spelled as "A-F-G-H-A-N-I-S-T-A-N"?

Stoning or not, it was the price they paid for their actions.

13 He shall surely be stoned or shot with arrows; not a hand is to be laid on him. Whether man or animal, he shall not be permitted to live.' Only when the ram's horn sounds a long blast may they go up to the mountain.
    Deuteronomy 13:10
10 Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
    Deuteronomy 17:5
5 take the man or woman who has done this evil deed to your city gate and stone that person to death.
    Deuteronomy 22:21
21 she shall be brought to the door of her father's house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father's house. You must purge the evil from among you.
