Default Need help! How can i recover overwritten file?

I need help on how to recover an excel file that was overwritten.

    Here is the situation:
I have the first file saved with Filename.xls (not the original filename). When I receive a new file transfer from Skype, i didn't notice that I replace the old file with the new file which has same filename. Filename.xls.

Anyone, can you please help me? I need to restore the file for my daily report..

waaaaahhh.. big big problem i got!

Well, take the consequences of whatever punishment it is for not submitting a daily report for today.... and move on.

Ngano man pud sa Skype giagi ang report na importante man diay na? You have email don't you?

As for the overwritten file, you can probably check for the Microsoft Office Excel temp files stored in your temp drive (Drive C: ) pero that is a very long shot kay gasagol-sagol na ang mga files didto.

THANKS ISTORYA! THANKS GUYS! PROBLEM SOLVED.

I use Skype for file transferring aside from the fact that it our means of communication with the team.
Time-wasting though. I had to gather the information by calling 103 numbers. (whew)

waaaaaaa hunahunaa kuno og maau bro og sakto ba imong gi sulti. replacing is same as deleting? toink.....

mora kauban raman ni sa moving is same as deleting pod.

mao ra gihapon sturyaha ni sa imo gi move.... dili na ma kita sa recovery software. ok ra unta to og imo gi delete una nya same file imo gi download kay naay ma kita na deleted, pero other than that, i guess its impossible.

like i said wait lang ta sa uban og unsa lain way nya ig naa ba pod sila ma recommend na software og dili mag ingon2 lang na pwede na pa searchon lang ka og software.

i just hope na naa ni way... never encountered this situation... so if maka encounter man gani ta at least naa nata idea og possible pa jud or hopeless na.

    up for this thread.....
