is there any option in this poll where it says "this is bullsh!t!"? LOL
I believe this is wrong. I've lived in UK and Germany for months ... they require you to register your SIM even if its pre-paid. In France its also the same for Vonage, O2, Orange ... etc.
Crime is a crime ... for criminals they would always find a way to break the system.
But that doesn't mean - "Puslan man kawatan lang gihapon ta, ayaw nalang i lock ang pultahan, kay mao ra gihapon"
If there's a way to at least lessen cellphone related crimes - then we should do it, whatever it takes.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" - Edmund Burke
Thats why we call it subscriber's identification module aka SIM.. So dapat ma identify ang identity sa owner mao dapat e register.
what happens if you are a registered sim card user, then your phone gets stolen and then your phone is used immediately to dial the triggering mech of a bomb in a bus, mall or anywhere? (you're in the middle of nowhere nga walay payphone or ur in an alley past store hours and dili nimo mareport ang imo stolen phone dayon)
are we going into the hassle of going to court as a suspect because of a lost phone? or will the true criminal get away just by an alibi that he's phone got stolen and was used for the crime?
just a crazy thought![]()
