Ok. Why don't you propose a solution instead, anything you can help to improve cellphone security?

Registering your sim doesn't take much of your time and money, it would be the same sim you'll buy from the telco at $10. You'll just have to present your valid ID (with pic) by the time you buy and that's it. What could be so wrong with that?

Here in SG it took me just ~5 mins to buy a sim card at 7 eleven for my sis, I just presented my passport, they photocopy it, I paid and off I go.

Might as well do that for xbox live/ps3 users . I mean using those consoles as a form of communication are undetectable , and there's no possible way to "wiretap" the console . I have read a book that if you're wanted by the authorities , this is the best thing to use to communicate . If terrorists/criminals are smart enough , then they should consider getting either an xbox 360 or ps3 . Oh , just don't make an obvious username .

I believe we can change the system ... that starts with by changing ourselves. If you are reluctant to change for the better good, its becomes detrimental to progress, you'd become a hindrance noon for development. Sim card registration isn't something that would take us backwards, dili pud na siya complete solution to phone-related crimes, but still - makatabang pa gyud gihapon. Why are people so reluctant to this positive change?
