If ever this would be implemented by the government, what assurance do we get that the shop owners/ sellers of sim cards would be strict in implementing this? No offense pero dba this will just add up to their burden na mangita pa ug papers or identification when all they are after for is income? ngano mag hasol2 pman kog pamaligya--d pa lang ko mahalinan den daghan pud ko ug competenxa. so why not make it easy for the consumers para daghan kog halin

I think there's no harm done while registering your sim ... we've been doing that here in Singapore as far as I can remember, and so far there has been no complaints. I just can't understand what the fuss is all about.

True, it can't completely solve the crime using cellphones, buts it becomes a major deterrent for criminals.
