if this will happen to your own family, maybe thats the time you will change your mind. but thats will be to late, you wont recover the life that will be lost and this wont stop as long you still call this as stupid idea.

80million is nothing to half a billion registered sim in china.

well you can say all your excuses but definetely you will eventually change your position when you'll be the next victim. and i hope it will not be to late again.
you didn't understand my post.... it clearly stated the Idea is great.... but implementing it in our country is stupid.....

if it happens to my family... I won't blame sims because sims can't blow a bus by itself....

even if you register all the sims in this country.... criminals will still find a way to bomb buses...

and don't hope to much about this idea... this will happen maybe 20 yrs from now.... or never... I'm willing to bet....

and don't compare phils to china..... china is the fastest growing economy in the world right now..... that's why america is keeping all of their eyes in that country.....

but the philippines does not have the capability to implement and maintain.
that's why it is stupid to implement it here..... coz we're not advance..... Utangan pa gani tas america/worldbank ug uban pang nasud......

you're just thinking about the Idea... and stopped there.... coz it's great.... disregard and not thinking on how could a country like this implement such things? where there's so much problems in this country that needs attention... needs funds.... rather than this problem....

This sim registration thing needs a closer study, weighing the pros and cons. Yet IMO, this is not even a closer solution. Conducting strict check on airports, malls and bus stations, increase police visibility, installation of CCTV cameras, checkpoints are far better than this. These are even the basic crime prevention but don't seem strictly implemented. Only waiting for incidents to happen and another lives are at risk.

^ he's just assuming things as easy as 123.

Its easy to tell but its difficult to implement. Worst thing, this will be another cause of problem in the future. Mind this, your sim card becomes your identity. People with nefarious activities will not be held liable if ever your phone will be stolen. Does NTC already solve stolen phones? Since sim are detachable from the phone, a one criminal deed is accountable to many. Is that sounds good?
