By the way, if mu agi ka ug civil wed, then after a few months you decided to have a church wed, are you going to get another MC?

No, you will not be getting another Marriage Certificate. The most important thing about a marriage is that it is recognized by the law.

The law prescribes that the following FORMAL and ESSENTIAL requisites of marriage must be complied with:

    ESSENTIAL:
-Legal capacity of the contracting parties (Sakto mo sa edad, nya dili mo minyo sa lain. In other words, that there is no bigamy. Mao sad na ang gamit sa Cert of No Marriage which you were talking about earlier.)
-Consent freely given in the presence of a solemnizing officer ---> (Priest, Immam, Rabbi, Judge, Mayor, Consul, etc, depende sa preference ug depende sa situation/religion ninyo)

    FORMAL:
-Authority of the solemnizing officer (meaning tunay na Pari/Judge, etc ang mu-kasal ninyo. If upon investigation it is found that both of you knew nga fake to ang Pari or Judge nga nag-kasal ninyo, your marriage will not be considered. Bisag 20 years na mo minyo, it will be as if you were not married at all.)
    -Marriage License

More relevant sa imong question is the requirement of a:

-Marriage Ceremony, where both the contracting parties should be present (meaning di pwede nga marriage nya naay proxy) before the solemnizing officer, to be witnessed by at least two persons who must be of legal age

Ang kanang engrande nga church wedding is just a ceremony in the literal sense of the word.

A grand marriage ceremony is really just done so that the families of both parties may participate in the union that they will be entering into. In other words, pa-porma2x ra na ang church wedding.

Once you are married civilly, you get your Marriage Certificate. You won't be getting another Marriage Certificate. Congrats!

OK sir, but what about if we decided to have a church wedding after a civil wedding? Dibah sa last ana kay mu sign mo sa kato MC?... what about those that have gone through civil wedding na?
Is it that ceremony lang ang mahitabo ana? no more signing?

Don't worry about that. Porma2x nalang na, since you already have a marriage certificate. Ang importante ra gyud is that the civil registrar has a copy of your marriage certificate. Sila na bahala mu-issue/forward ug copy ana, again as already mentioned by someone earlier to prevent any fake certificates from being used/copied.

Why is that important?
