the result:

• Humans: around 120 pounds of bite pressure
• Domestic dogs: 260 LBS of pressure on average. 5 of each breed was tested for mor accuracy, German Shepard, Mastiff, Labrador, Huskie, American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) and Rottweiler were tested using a bite sleeve equipped with a specialized computer instrument. The APBTs had the least amount of pressure of the 3 breeds tested and the ROTTWEILERs... uhmmm, well, just watch the video

These figures are apparently from National Geographic Channel series Animal Bite Force:

Pitbull pressure bite was 238 lbs
German Shepherd bite was 240 lbs
Wild Dogs bite force was 317 lbs
Rottweiler bite force was 328 lbs
Lion bite force was very close to 700 lbs
Hyena's bite force was 1000 lbs
Snaping Turtle bite force was 1004 lbs
Nile Crocodile bite force was 2500 lbs

A human can bite to a maximum force of about 170 lbs and it is estimated that the T-Rex could have had a bite force of around 3300 lbs ! rinkytink

^^^yea ive seen this bro, wat i can comment though is der was no statistical basis so far as presented, we jst cant say though if behind d scenes dey did several trials over a qualified number of samples

I agree with doce_pares, we really dont know wat they did(training and etc) with the dogs behind the video..for all you know the APBT was just a pet, no training and such, but what happen if the APBT is train with springpole and lets say change the feeding to BARF, particularly in the bone and meat side(raw of course)...it might make a difference sa bite side..hehe just my 2 cents...

according to this book, ang pressure sa bite depende sa will sa dog nga mu bite. common sense man pod, og dili malingaw ang iro sa iya gipaak (like a pressure measuring device), di cya mu bite og kusug.

Basin single sample ra na ang ilaha gikuha. Dili representative sa total population. Pero doubtful ko if masayop sila... scientific baya ang ilaha approach so covered nila ang sampling but more or less sa mga pets ra ni nila gikuha ang mga sample size. Wal nila kuhaa ang mga dogs na trained for specific activities... like katong mga Pits which are bound for fights. Wla man gud ni gi-recognized nila kay dirty game man ni lani na sa mga Animal Rights na groupo... hehehehehehehe... If katong mga pratisado na APTB ang ilaha gikuhaan ug samples size... maybe its another story gyud...
