what dog breed is best for kids

my 7 year old daughter has been pleading with me to buy her a new dog- a chihuahua to be exact. I know nothing about dogs. to all you dog experts out there, any advice on what is the best dog breed for kids? thanks

sir before ka mo buy ug dog make sure nga inyo jd ni matake care... kay most of the time the 1st few months ok pa na pero maka dugay mapulan or di na ganahan... specially7 yer old kids ganahan ra na sila mo try wats the feeling to have dog but later on mo change ilang ganahan... but i'm not discouraging you. try small breeds like shittzu.

7 years old? All I know is that when it comes to family dogs the Labrador is the best, but it will only become bad for you when you don't play with it a lot because of pent up energy. But for starters maybe a toy breed would be preferable, lets say,hmm, a dachshund (hotdog doggy). They are low maintenance dogs and make good anti-pest pets.
