here's something that will knock your socks off... hehehe

i was on my way to my loader (someone who reloads bullets for firearms) but decided to go to Ayala first. I had with me the following: 500 primers, 1 lb of gun powder, 500 bullet heads which were placed at the back of my vehicle and can be seen by merely looking through the windows. on my way to the basement parking, i was stopped by the guards. one held a mirror underneath my SUV (probably checking for oil leaks...hehehe) and the other went around looking through the windows. I even opened all the windows for their convinience. to my surprise, i was not accusted nor question for bring the elements with me.

all my wife and i could do was shake our heads. imagine what i could've done if i was a terrorist.

.. what?? is that how the terrorists work?? target ONLY airports?? Where have you been?? Terrorists main targets are areas where there are tons of people in a small area. Malls are prime example of those. With the ASEAN summit here on December, Cebu must tighten it's security measures. Just look at how stupid those guards are with sir pnoize's case.

Mods, I know this is somewhat OT but I think there's a need to post this news on this thread. this is regarding 22 bombs going off inside banks in Thailand. what they used in the detonation, where they hid the bombs, how they passed security, who brought them in and all other important details. I hope our local security agencies, government officials, and all concerned citizens not only in Cebu but also all the other parts of the country will learn something from this event so similar incidents will be prevented from occuring.

22 Bombs Explode in Thailand, Killing 1
By SUTIN WANNABOVORN, Associated Press Writer

BANGKOK, Thailand - Nearly two dozen bombs exploded almost simultaneously Thursday inside commercial banks in southern Thailand, killing one person in a region bloodied by a Muslim insurgency, police said.

The homemade bombs, which were triggered by mobile phone signals, were placed in garbage bins, at newspaper stands and near seats where customers wait for service in the banks in Yala province, said Maj. Gen. Paithoon Choochaiya who heads the provincial police.

One person was killed and 27 people were injured in the bombings, said Maj. Gen. Woraphong Siewpricha, deputy police chief in the south. Fours suspects were detained.

A review of close-circuit video showed that some of the explosives were planted by women, police said.

Some of the apparently small devices were hidden in women's handbags or inside books carried by teenagers in school uniforms, said Lt. Gen. Ongkorn Thongprasom, the army chief in the south.

"We received some intelligence reports, but we did not anticipate it would happen inside banks, especially on the last day of the month. We don't believe they are that cruel," he said.

.. what a costly mistake. they aren't cruel, they're ruthless.

.. i hope the local government won't experience a wake up call like this one.
