Not entirely true for Samsung when the Galaxy S came out, from May to December 2010 the Galaxy S had over 40 updates released.

But if you just want to stick with official firmwares then your comment is applicable to ALL brands, sony has it the worse since they only released like 1 or 2 updates for their device and the X10 is really lagging behind the competition, hopefully things will change when the Arc is relased.

If someone wants to just stick with the official firmware, Andriod is not for them.

True, Ive only used official Samsung Firmware for less than a month when I got my phone.. since then I've been using Beta firmwares / customized ones from XDA, the beauty of andriod
